Metformin
Recently (8wks) ago stopped taking my 500mg metformin medication and feel miles better more energy not out of breath as much, had a blood test done hemoglobin level 41. No more diarrhea and generally a whole lot better. Could that of been making my heartfailure worse?? Anyone else had this problem?

Hypothyroidism worse off with TRT
Hello, I've been on T3 20mcg and T4 75mcg daily for the past year, I started taking TRT (testosterone replacement therapy), initially I felt way better, but now I'm getting more tired and cold hands and feet than ever before. Is there any correlation between taking Testosterone while being hypothyroid

Fibroscan Results with PBC
I had a private fibroscan today which was surprisingly normal and even healthy! CAP198 and Kpa5.5. I say surprised as my LFT's are off the scale high. Over the past month they have dropped by half but still high. PCB was flagged over 7 years ago after a routine blood test and I have never had any symptoms

b12 symptoms
Hi, Need advice on what else I should have included in my blood test. Haematologist is already going to test active B12, MMA and homocysteine after stopping B12 injections for 4 months to try to get to the bottom of why I’m having symptoms. History of Hashimotos 2019, vitamin d 2020 plus co factors

Bone density loss
After my second rougue clone radiation I am hopefully looking forward to next blood test which will show PC back in remission. THEN, I get a routine bone density result! Left Femoral neck T Score goes from 1.7 on 11/2021 to 0.3 on 7/2023 to-0.2 on 11/23. If you've read my prior posts I am quite active

First cycle & ovulation before egg collection!
Hello! This is my first post on here, and having just (almost) completed my first IVF cycle yesterday, I wanted to find out if anyone else has got to the day of extraction to be told they have already ovulated? I was taken into the room for extraction but told they wanted to scan me first as they had

Endoscopy Experience
Morning, I posted earlier about fretting regarding an upcoming endoscopy and had so many replies that I was quite put at ease and intended to have sedation. However, on the day, I elected to go with the throat spray as I was told that I could stop and have sedation at any time. I managed to get through

Been a while
hello all, it’s been sometime since I last was on here so I thought I’d give an update on what’s happening since my valve operation. Basically I’ve had one major problem since I came out, breathlessness on exertion, I.e. when I try to exercise. It doesn’t take many seconds for the breathing to rectify

Getting myself in a hell of a muddle!
I have been on levothyroxine for 10+ years and never had a problem (well not since the early years) - I have been getting along nicely on a dose of 75 for the last few years. I was at the GP's a few weeks ago about something not related to my thyroid and happened to mention in the conversation that

Been feeling very well since my increase of levothyroxine to 100mcg. That was until October when all the symptoms started to appear again. Constipation, brain fog or (time out) as I call it , joint pain and tiredness. By beginning of November these symptoms were so full on that i contacted the nurse

symptoms
Hi everyone, I’m new to the forum. I’ve suffered with palpitations & dizziness for a while now but on Saturday after stupidly brushing some leaves for my Mother, my heart started pounding & felt as if I was going to pass out, it passed after a while; although had another dizzy spell later. Was ok yesterday

Low fT4, but midrange fT3. Feeling cold, brain fog.
Hi there, male, 64, fit, no problems besides this: for about 3 years I´m having symptoms like feeling cold, brain fog, and most things one would consider to be low thyroid function. I did a lot of blood tests in the last year. Most values are ok. Zinc, Vit B, Selen etc. has all been tested ok, too

vedolizimub
Hi, I started the vedolizimub iV infusions in hospital approx a month ago for UC. So far I have had 2 infusions so hopefully only 1 more infusion to go then I can start to inject. My only worry is my white blood count is low and the nurses said if it continues to stop any lower than 3 they wil delay
