Hi Team,My wife started sudden dizziness and we are visited in casualty to show her and then few blood test. In creatine it shows GFR drop to 85 to 59%. Creatine 1.09

She is iga Nephropathy patient but she is in remission. Even 20 days back her GFR is 85%.

I m confused why this happens.

No sugar, BP normal, No fever nothing any himoglobin 10.7.

Can someone help me to understand 🙏

It could be that she was dehydrated and that would cause the sudden drop in her eGFR. Remember these numbers are just an estimate. More - what is her age ?and her creatinine at 1.09 is normal.

Hi, you are kind to worry on your wife's behalf. I don't think iga Nephropathy would cause sudden dizziness, and I know kidney disease itself doesn't cause noticeable symptoms until its much worse than the numbers you listed. Whatever caused the dizziness- it could be linked to anxiety, that got worse as she worried about it (I'm like that)- a temporary drop in eGFR is nothing to worry about. Anyway, it wouldn't hurt to make your diet more Mediterranean, if its not already, and don't worry.
