Please can someone help me?

Hi All! I’m hoping someone on here can help me as I am having no luck with my doctors.

I have been having pain and stiffness, strange rashes, blotchy red skin, swelling, my hips, knees and ankles are particularly affected. I have had very raised inflammatory markers in blood tests since 2009 but this seems to have been ignored. Lately I have had tingling especially in my hands, legs and feet and all my veins are suddenly visible where they have never been before and I am getting shooting pains and hot flashes. My physio thinks it could be R A but I thought I would ask on here to see if my symptoms are things anyone else has experienced due to R A? Thanks so much :)

You say you have a physio…so presumably you have seen your GP? What diagnosis ones he/she offer?

I’m afraid we can’t make a diagnosis…we can only sympathise with your plight.I’m sure the symptoms you describe could be a number of things so why don’t you try to make another appointment with your GP & ask to get some blood tests so that a start can be made to find a diagnosis? Hopefully that will help you move forward.

If you've got very raised inflammatory markers I am surprised you have not been referred to Rheumatologist. I would query this with GP. Maybe they are thinking it's something else??

Go back to your GP you will never have a diagnosis otherwise! The symptoms you are describing could be a form of arthritis or something much more serious , please go and get proactive and get an appointment

As others have said, go back to the GP and ask for a referral for rheumatology. There are over 100 different types of arthritis, so best not to pre-guess what it is.

Some GPs go for 'three strikes, your out' model of referral. You might have to ask three times for a referral. So don't give up!

Return to your GP with a written list of issues and speak about each one!!

Send letter in Ask for your

Diagnosis on all your issiues

To be left reception to collect in 7 days

Then hold them to account with wots wrong if any

I'd

Demand a

Referal

To rumatologist as well after this

I would request an appointment with your GP with the view to being referred to a rheumatologist. Persist with it and don't come out of the appointment without some sort of referral to a specialist. However, you may need more tests first as it may not be RA.

The many symptoms you are displaying could indicate several different illnesses so best to investigate all of this first. Good luck x
