Bisoprolol and AF episode
Due to side effects GP reduced my Bisoprolol from 2.5mg to 1’25mg to be taken at night. I woke up at 4.30 am this morning with an AF episode. My heart rate was 54’ Do you think this is because of reduction, or taking BB at night? Very worrying’

Heartbeat post cardioversion
Had 2 cardioversions within 3 months of initial diagnosis of Afib back in November 2019. Fine until arrythmia returned early July this year. Initially told to stop my regular Bisoprolol 1.25mg per day until cardioversion which I had mid August. Back in nsr since then. After the latest cardioversion

Yet more fun!
So since hospital cardio upped me to 5mg of bisoprolol I've been suffering with light headedness and tunnel vision. Took my blood pressure and it was 87/57 so a touch on the low side! Called GP and the duty doctor advised me to go back down to 2.5mg for now. Still feel like crap and this warm weather

Edoxaban change to apixaban
I have just been told I need to change my anticoagulant from edoxaban to either Rivaroxaban or apixaban something to do with my creatinine clearance . I didn’t really understand what the implications are of this Does anyone understand this and can explain. I’ve finally had my Cardiologist tell me to

Bisoprolol - dramatic change in hr.
hello. HR has been 120- 130 for a while now taking either 5mg or 7.5mg bisoprolol. The increase in dose to 7.5 mg maybe made an average 5bpm difference. At this point I was in Atrial flutter most of the time. Trying to bring my hr down , it was suggested to me that I increase to 10 mg and then possibly

12 month follow up
Yesterday I had my 12 month follow up with cardiology.... after my 5th ablation in 2019. Only 4 years late. Though I'll have to live with the AF the rest of my life (I'm about to turn 41) the ablation was a success because when the episodes do hit I can stay out of hospital, they're not as debilitating

Update: Consultation with cardiologist pushed back till October. In the interim, I called my GP to discuss side effects of Bisoprolol and, the fact they are not reducing my BP. I have been told to reduce the Bisoprolol dose to 1.25mg per day and take it at night.-see how we get on for a week. If

Some good news
Well after my hospital stay with servere chest pain, I've had my private cardiology appointment. I had an echo which is all normal according to the cardiologist and a treadmill stress test which he also said I did a little above average on. He said he was 99% sure there was no physical problem with

Update - Bisoprolol to Diltiazem
Just to update from my previous post where I mentioned changing from Bisoprolol to Diltiazem. I had been on 1.25 mg Bisoprolol for about 5 months but hated the awful side effects (tiredness and shortness of breath) and found I was in AF most days, even tried Flecainide twice daily but that did nothing

Bisoprolol and PIP
Hi, I unfortunately had a 14 hr A and E visit on Friday. I stated early evening. I am on 60mg of bisoprolol and 1.25 of Bisoprolol. So took another 1.25 and after a few hours still in AF so had to go. I have asthma and I have felt that lately I thought the Bisoprolol was to blame for more shortness of

Heart failure and fatigue
I was diagnosed with moderate/severe LV failure earlier this year. I'm now taking 7.5mg bisoprolol, with entrestol 24/26, dapaglyflozine and eplerenone, and been on these doses for about 6 weeks. Although my BP and heartrate has been brought down very well by the heart meds, it's a struggle to keep

So I'm in hospital.. (first ever overnighter)
So following my last post things haven't got better (obviously). Went on a UK holiday with family for a week and had a few incidents. Crazy high heart rate, chest pains, panic attacks. Visited emergency care centre whilst away and after an ECG they suggested that I need a cardio appointment. Went to
