I’ve been on bisoprolol for about 5 months now to regulate my heart rate, having been diagnosed with AF nearly a year ago. I’m very sensitive to any increase in dose and can only tolerate 1.25mg. I have been very itchy most days for a while now and rhinkinf about it, the onset was around the time I started bisoprolol. Until yesterday I was just assuming the itch was something to do with being postmenopausal and the change in hormone levels. Has anyone else been itchy on bisoprolol and, if so, what did you do?

Please report it and in the meantime, should you have any allergy symptoms such as swelling in the throat or tongue call 999. I ignored my symptoms and was just lucky I had a powerful asthma inhaler to hand.
I started with itching, urticaria / hives after 7 weeks on Bisoprolol. I was weaned off, during which time I had an exacerbation of asthma and spen 3 days in hospital. I shouldn't have been on a beta blocker, as I'm asthmatic, but a hospital doctor, of unknown status, put me on it when, while under a general anaestheic to remove my appendix, my heart rate rose to over 190bpm.
