AF worse in heat
I have persistent AF and for the most part my HR is below 100 and whilst irregular my pulse isn’t too erratic. I’m on bisoprolol which seems to be keeping things in check. However, the past couple of days have been very hot and I’ve noticed my HR has increased, not sure exactly what it is but feels

Stopping Rivaroxaban
The community cardiac team has changed me from rivaroxaban to edoxaban as the abdominal pain was so bad. I can't get new prescription until later in the week but I stopped the rivaroxaban already, didn't take it yesterday. How long does it take for pain to settle after discontinuing ? Just wondered

Can Afib turn into an irregular heart beat instead ?
Hi All The reason I say this is that I do not get elevated beats per minute I am always in the range of 75 to 95 Yet my watch still says I have AF and when my pulse is taken it is irregular So I wonder if there are different types of AFib ? Otherwise feel 100% ok I am on anti-rat apixaban and

weight gain
Has anyone gained weight whilst being on Bisoprolol? I’ve gained two stone in two years; and am now borderline diabetic with a score of 42 in my recent blood tests (hbc?) I also take Adalimubab injections for my Arthritis. There are days when I am extremely lethargic but need to lose weight prior

10 weeks in, not feeling great
I am a 57 year old woman, and had an Nstemi 10 weeks ago, and one stent fitted. I am on 2.5 bisoprolol, tricagrelor, 10 of ramipril, 80 statins and also aspirin. My ejection fraction was poor at 45 (which I found a bit upsetting when it transpired I was the lowest in the rehab class) I was on HRT before

Breathlessness- pollen or something else?
I just wanted to ask if anyone else has been experiencing more breathlessness with the weather change. My mum has Permanent AF with heart failure. She’s had bisoprolol increased in February this year from 3.75mg once a day to the same dose twice a day. We had a GP appointment last week which I asked

Ablation
I'm due to have my 3rd ablation on Wednesday, they told me to stop taking bisoprolol on Friday. Today my heart rate is jumping up to 140 when climbing my stairs and walking around. Spoke to Papworth who said i could take 1 if I wanted but they would prefer it if I didn't. Has anyone else experienced

Sinus tachycardia / ectopic beat issue
Hi all, whilst on holiday last week, I woke up to a horrible episode of ST with ectopic beats. ST was over 110 BPM with horrible ectopic beats. For me, I really feel them .. This continued on and off throughout the holiday and with my heath anxiety, I am sure this was not helping. Upon returning to

Bisoprolol and bad dreams
I don't know if this is a coincidence, but since starting taking 2.5mg of Bisoprolol around 8pm each night, I've noticed that I've had quite a lot of bad dreams. Has anybody else experienced this?

Severe palputations...explanation?
Hi. I am 56 years old with a history of SVT, low blood pressure, and night time panic attacks causing a very fast heart beat. I have been on a low dose of bisoprolol for several years now which has largely managed my symptoms. However after getting severe anxiety upon menopause, I started HRT and Sertraline

Discomfort after Eating?
Does anyone suffer from AF? After eating? I’m not sure if it is the AF? I’ve cut out as much salt, fat, and sugar out of diet as possible in preparation for a cardio version and about half hour after food feel stuffed, hot and sweaty and low palpitations, really uncomfortable. I used to live my food

Hip surgery
I'm due to have a hip replacement but nervous because I have paroxysmal A Fib. I' m on Edoxaban and have bisoprolol as a P I P, told to take after a few hours if it didn't resolve, but haven't had to take it . Would welcome some reassurance 😊
