Managing Anxiety
I had my liver
biopsy
yesterday, so now the waiting begins for the pathology results. Will be trying to manage the level of anxiety over the next few days by staying busy at work and around the house doing projects. Also will be practicing mindfulness along the way.

Pyloric Stenosis post esophagectomy
Hi. I am a 14 yr. survivor of EC and had the open Ivor Lewis surgery done in 2009. Over the years I have had to have an EGD for "stretching" purposes when my throat tightened up from the scar tissue that the surgery had caused. This helped a great deal. It wasn't until recently, maybe the past 5

CLL and Skin Cancer
The Dermatologist removed it and sent it out for
biopsy
. Sure enough, skin cancer. He will begin noninvasive low-dosage radiation in a week or so.

Fibrosis and fatty liver
I also show Granulomatous hepatitis of unknown origin on my
biopsy
. I am trying to understand why fatty liver is improving, and scarring is not? I still have 75 lbs to lose. Have lost 30.

After MRI/
biopsy
was recommended AS for G7 in Jan 2020 and PSA 4.1, which stayed stable until mid 2021 - I opted for HIFU for in Decembers 2021 when my PSA reached 6 then 8. However it failed as PSA return to 6 by July 2022. Another MRI and
biopsy
surprises urologist aa reveals G9.

Hemithyroidectomy or total thyroidectomy?
FNA
biopsy
has confirmed this as indeterminate U3, therefore surgery is the way forward. Normal TFT I shall add, I have been on thyroxine (50) for a few years as I was hypo symptomatic and found a very forward-thinking endo in my local hospital. I am now 34 years old.

1 week post-laparoscopy
I was told they will do a
biopsy
, I understand that is a routine requirement, but I'm a bit scared as I haven't been told much. I don't know where the endo was found or what type it is, where was removed from or how much there is. Maybe some of you could tell me your experiences?

Adenocarcinoma / Ductal Carcinoma PC
We just found out my 86 yr old father's "bladder cancer"
biopsy
is actually ductal carcinoma. The tumor was on the urethra, and has been bleeding since August 2022. His PSA was 4.2, which was the same psa I had when I was diagnosed. However, I have adenocarcinoma.

Update
I did have another
biopsy
of my prostate. No cancer there anymore, just 8 or so places in the bones. Unfortunately, without the PPI I was miserable and could not move forward with the clinical trial. April 30 I had my first infusion of docetaxel. Yes, there are side effects.

Feeling frustrated
The results of my liver
biopsy
were inconclusive because they missed the target area. They took tissue samples of my normal liver cells, not from the lesion on the liver. Super frustrated to have gone through that experience for nothing. Now trying to determine next steps with medical team.

Possibly Failing Calquence - what’s next?
Long story short hopefully… diagnosed in 2008 with cll, Started treatment in 2011 after
biopsy
of mass in nasopharynx turned out to be CLL related. Had 6 cycles of B& R, then maintenance Rituxan monthly, but was discontinued due to reaction (rash).

Diag with NAFLD Cirrhosis from biopsy, doctor said theres no difference between a 15kpa and 30kpa fibroscan score, confused?
Hi guys, I had a fibroscan score a couple months back of 30kpa which I took to suggest I had fairly advanced cirrhosis, had a

which confirmed cirrhosis, when I was told the results I asked for liver doctor if given my fibroscan score of 30kpa it meant that I was far gone and could expect to become
