I have posted only once here, when I was at my lowest, and the support and advice was everything I needed and it truly helped me move on and push for answer and treatment. So now I'm back to thank you all so very much for all your kind words and all the advices, because thanks to you, I finally have a diagnostic.
I had a laparoscopy a week ago, endometriosis was found and some was removed. A mirena coil was fitted.
I was told they will do a biopsy, I understand that is a routine requirement, but I'm a bit scared as I haven't been told much. I don't know where the endo was found or what type it is, where was removed from or how much there is.
Maybe some of you could tell me your experiences?
That being said, I am recovering quite well, is not easy or pain free but overall much better than I expected 🙂.

Glad to hear your recovering well and it's good to finally have some answers. I'm 8 weeks post lap and also diagnosed with Endo. You could see if your GP has been sent a report on what they found during surgery or call the gynae secretary and ask them to read it to you as you haveva right to that information. I hot a report that I could take home with me which helped me to process the diagnosis
In terms of biopsy that is standard and its to test for all kinds of things but also 100% confirms the endo from a histological point of view. I'm still waiting for mine. Do you have follow up with surgeon boomed that can hopefully be an opportunity to ask more about this
My GP hasn't received anything as yet, but my history with Gynae is not very optimistic regarding getting any info.
So my only option was to pester them, which I did, and after a lot of voice messages from me and other departments I disturbed, managed to speak with the Gynae secretary who gave me some details. Because I had too many questions (as per my consultant) regarding what to expect next, especially for my next menstruation as well as about the actual surgery, after care etc., an appointment was set at the end of June to answer all my questions . Basically I was told, don't fret for info you'll find out soon enough, well see you long after
I'm disappointed, angry and scared
I'm very lucky with my GP practice, they are brilliant
