I’m 3B low grade facing my 1st recurrence also diagnosed in 2021 was the maintenance drug you originally used an Aromatase inhibitor? I’m also waiting for a biopsy hopefully this week I’m interested in the oral chemo pill if it’s low grade my Onc wants me to go back on Carbo/taxol since like yourself am platinum sensitive I like the idea of a pill wish you the best
Very allergic with a anphalactic like reaction to Paxitaxol 3 times 3c stage and i will never agree to this drug again....also 30 minutes of Carboplatin...then perhaps Tamoxifen i am seriously considering never doing chemo again until i know the odds and percentages of time added
Hi George I'm low grade - this is my 10th year with it. Had 3 surgeries, hormone inhibitors and chemo. Still here and living well. Under the Christie Hospital. Gwen x
Presumably u under Prof.Jayson! Occasionally I also go to Maggies. I've been under clinical trials for last 2.5.years but now transferred back to Gynae. I was diagnosed 3b Jan 2014. Gwen x
I’m not far from Bolton I’m in Liverpool and also at The Christie under Prof Jayson who has been a lifesaver for me. Also low grade but not currently on any meds as had surgery for a recurrence in March which got me back to NED again. I expect it will come back at some point but trying to live in the moment!
The Maggies centre there is lovely I’ve been a few times. I hope you don’t have to wait too much longer for your biopsies and you get a treatment plan soon. Even in the past 5 years since I was first diagnosed there are so many more treatment options for OC ladies now, I tell myself that when I start to worry about the future!
