Headaches + fatigue
I have a bone marrow
biopsy
tomorrow to access the extent of my MPN and how they will go forward with treatment. I find that when I get to a certain time of day I feel the need for a sleep due to fatigue, irrelevant of whether I have done anything or not

Upcoming liver biopsy
I have a
biopsy
on Monday. Told not to eat or drink after midnight as I will be sedated. I am not sure what to expect and have read varying reports on the process. Was just wondering if someone could explain how long the
biopsy
takes and the recovery time.

Luke’s Liver
I also had a liver
biopsy
at the height of inflamtion back in February which is also causing me pain that I can only describe as a stitch sensation in my right hand side. Has anyone else experienced ongoing pain from
biopsy
site?

Media request - London biopsy experience
Ideally we wanted to speak with a lung cancer patient who had some complications following a physical
biopsy
but also speaking in general with someone affected by lung cancer would be ok. We would do this interview sometime on Monday if possible."

Is My Urologist Telling Me the Truth About Prostate Biopsies, or is He "Painting a Rosy Picture" of them?
I have concerns about the discomfort and after-effects of a prostate
biopsy
scheduled soon. But my urologist seems to be saying [i]
"No worry. It'll only take 30-40 minutes and it'll be over so that you can return home. You'll have some soreness for a few days and you'll be okay."

Biopsy
showed that the growing tumor was triple negative. Seemingly the other 2 (breast and hip met) are still HER2 negative. Anyone being treated for both? Also considering a clinical trial for the triple that they found, although there is no known tumor. Thoughts?

Question on PMR and Temporal Arteritis
Does anyone know: would an MRI show Temporal Arteritis or would a person need a
biopsy
to determine if Temporal Arteritis was present? Asking for a person newly diagnosed with PMR and in the ER dept was told she had Temporal Arteritis.

Biopsy Results
I have had the results of my recent endosendoscopy today. I went in for a hernia repair last month and it turns out they did a
biopsy
whilst there and I have endometriosis which explains a lot of how I have been feeling for a long time now. Any tips, tricks or guides would be extremely helpful at the start of my journey.

Ultrasound/Biopsy show cirrhosis, but fibroscan score is 7.4
I’m somewhat perplexed… since my diagnosis I’ve been told I have cirrhosis, because of my
biopsy
and ultrasound results. A recent fibroscan score was 7.4, which is fibrosis. Although some parts of the fibroscan were as high as 8. Can someone explain this? My dr. was very vague in his explanation.

Antibiotics before Biopsy
Does anyone have information about the use of antibiotic prophylaxis before a transrectal
biopsy
? I've read that e-coli is now resistant to fluoroquinolones (e.g., Cipro).

Advice from my Dr. "But don't go to Vegas."
She did not recommend cyber knife because of the fiducials that must be placed similar to the
biopsy
. She had a wait-and-see attitude. Her advice was the title of this post.

Enlarged spleen CLL stage 0
My spleen has become very enlarged over the last 6 months so my haematologist is sending me for a splenic
biopsy
. There has been talk of removing my spleen depending what they find. Has anyone else had this happen? Are there ways to shrink the spleen rather than remove it?
