Jobst Elvarex made to measure knee length socks
I've had these for about the last six years. Up to the ones I'm currently wearing they took around two weeks from prescription to receiving them. The current pair, for which I was measured 10 months ago, took 10 weeks, and I've been waiting for a new pair for over 8 weeks. I've just been to the local

Hypothyroidism, Lupus and high cholesterol
Hi Just wanted some advice from you wise ones. My lupus has been in remission for almost two years now and am feeling good. Recent blood tests revealed that I have high cholesterol despite having a very healthy life style and healthy diet. I know that low thyroid impacts on the cholesterol levels.

horrible taste in mouth, nothing tastes good
After looking in my mouth, my GP said, I think you have thrush. A dentist had said an X-ray showed no tooth infection was causing the bad taste. GP prescribed nystatin. After taking it the bad taste is worse than ever, especially in the morning, and the area behind my top and bottom teeth feels

Candida or Parkinson’s
Hello, Please could someone confirm if a fairly constant bitter taste in the mouth is a symptom of Parkinson’s? My mum (who has Parkinson’s) has had a constant bitter taste in her mouth for about nine months. She took antibiotics for a leg ulcer last year so I suspected Candida. A dentist told her

To stent or not to stent ?
As a result of mild, burning angina symptoms I was scanned. I have one significant blockage in the LAD artery. How significant I just don't know because it was impossible to actually get to talk to a cardiologist. Then I received an appointment to get a stent and I requested that the procedure be postponed

Statins - get informed and know the risks
This is my take on things - my personal experience and that of people I have met, known and loved (family members). If you are being pushed to take statins I would advise people to read up and consider risks before deciding to go on statins.. AND IT IS your decision. There’s loads of literature,

Exhausted by trying to find a solution
To anyone out there who is struggling with chronic constipation do you take PPI’s and if so do they affect your bowel. I am really struggling as I have had this problem since I was a teenager but it has got much worse since I started medication. I take Statins, PPI’s for a Hiatus Hernia, and Anlodipine
