Is a glass of Whiskey a day, OK with Parkinson's ? Stronger reaction to Alchohol for PWP?
I enjoy a glass of whiskey at the end of the day. Typically around 6pm I will have Scotch with two ice cubes; 1-1.5 measure in size. I enjoy the taste and relaxation of this. How does PD effect this habit? How many PWP have an evening glass of wine, beer or liquor? I have noticed in the last year

Ideas to try to help fall asleep
I was thinking some of the drugs that help PC may also have effects such as insomnia, but I don't know sure. I have trouble myself, sleeping at times. For me, I know it is because my mind won't shut off, I am a worrier. Here are a couple things that may help to fall asleep. Try to wind down at

Crocheting helps
Hello, I have had occasional RLS even as a teenager. As I have gotten older, it has worsened and now I cannot sleep without medication and the RLS will act up on long plane rides and typically if I try to nap in the late afternoon. These are the things I have found make it worse: alcohol, benzodiazapines

Diagnosed (but not ‘officially’) last week - no physical examination, or time to list symptoms 😵💫🤯 Still concerned re positive ANA’s (2)
Hi there, I am new to this board and hope someone could help me understand if this is a ‘typical’ experience because it has knocked me for six more as much as the years of symptoms I’ve had….. I was sent to a rheumatologist with 2 positive ana’s, widespread body pain and fatigue. In fairness to the

melatonin advice
hello all, what is the consensus on melatonin? Does it aggravate RLS symptoms or not? Having issues with sustaining my sleep. My actual RLS symptoms have died down a lot, but now I’m getting hyperarousal during the night. After falling asleep quite quickly, I wake up & can’t get back to sleep. TI A

Iron supplementation
I apologize, I have been looking at past posts but having trouble finding the best answer. I most likely have RLS, and doc wants to increase my Ferritin to 100. They recommend iron but don't say what kind, or how best to take it. Other then that the Neurologist was fantastic. So I was hoping some
