Anyone else get down weighing themselves more than once a week?
Hi. First of all, I KNOW I should not have done it! I KNOW it is bad for my moral to weigh myself more once a week but also at a different time of the day! I can't explain why I did it, I've been feeling physically better and more energised this week but still decided to jump on the scales 2 full days

Roast Radishes 😋
Radishes - trimmed and cut in half, 1/2 red onion chopped, garlic, butter and dill. Roast together at 200C for 20 minutes or so, stir a couple of times. Somewhere around 10 carbs (halve that by leaving out the onion) and less than 100kcal before adding the butter. It's a really delicious replacement

Chlorophyll green juice for today
My green juice for today...to be honest I don’t count the calories for the juice. But it is a tone of produce... My recipe, just toss everything green on the juicer, haha. Anyways, today I’m using: A whole cucumber 2 ribs/stalks of celery A handful of spinach Half a spring greens head Half a cabbage

Binge Starve Cycles
I know this is more of an eating disorder but heck... If we're all struggling so bad with weight, have we all not got some type of disorder going on? Well, today I binged for the first time in a while :( but I caught myself this time! I caught that little voice of mine telling myself "I'm bad" and

Haven’t given up
Hi everyone I haven’t given up just doing a lot of overtime to help out staff shortage at work 6 out of 7 nights this week and just woke up feeling drunk. As you can imagine no exercise since June apart from walking around at work and eating crap

Yo-yo dieter
Hello I feel like I have been dieting all my adult life! I lost nearly 2 stone last year and promised myself I would never put it back on... I have around 4.5 stone to lose. I enjoy running (sort of) and have been going 5 times a week between 4-12km since lockdown. My diet is mostly healthy, but I

The worst feeling.
Having low self esteem can make a lot of things a real bummer. But one of the worst things that happens to me in regards to that is when I feel confident in how I look. I know. How does feeling confident make you feel bad? Every once in a while I will look at myself in a mirror and think “wow. I like

Full of Greens Fritters
Here's a pic of tonight's tea: Full of Greens Fritters from the Anna Jones cookbook, A Modern Way to Eat. I halved her recipe and there's easily enough for two people here: Finely slice half a cabbage (or a large leek). Grate a courgette. Snip some fresh basil. Add a chopped garlic clove & zest of half

Pad Thai
This is a signature dish from Thailand, but I cook a vegetarian version with tofu (instead of the usual prawns or pork). I think the trick to this dish is to have everything to hand and chopped ready to go, so you're not scrambling around looking for the soy sauce or whatever! Dice and fry a block of

Shakshuka with steamed veg
Here's this evening's meal. It's so easy, filling and tasty. For two: drain and rinse two cans of cannellini (or butter) beans. Drizzle some olive oil in a baking dish. Am I on the right track?
NHS diet says 1453-1600 calories a day but for good weight loss stick to lower end. 3 weeks in and lost 3lb. Week 4 put on 1/2lb. Eating 1200_1450 each day. Only 1 day at 1600 in the whole 4 weeks. I am devastated as I weigh everything. I even count the onion on my salad! P.s. walking 60-100 mins daily

Vegetable curry with wild and red rice
Hi everyone, I cooked this curry in my slow cooker this afternoon so it was easy and it’s a fantastic way to cook a curry as it brings the flavour of the spices out. I cooked onion mushrooms tomato in olive oil added the curry spices including a pinch of nutmeg and then added some gluten free flour

Week 5 starting.. Not long till August..
Week 5 starting. Okay guys this last week was tough as I was into baking cakes and ended up eating also. So I weigh currently 70.1 kg and waist being 99cm. So did not meet my target. This week I will keep the same goal 69.8kg and 98cm waist. Because I think I might hit my point where I will need to

Hunger while calorie counting first week
Hi all I’m counting calories to lose weight and I’m hungry a lot. It’s week one but definitely finding it a bit hard. I’ve been overeating all the time for years so it’s necessary I restrict the volume. But, getting hungry about an hour after each eating session. What have others developed as strategies

What do people mean when they say….
Diet
This phrase is a bit ambiguous: it can mean way of eating, see below, or it can mean a temporary weight loss plan that you only do for a short amount of time, before returning to your previous diet. See? It's confusing!
WOE/Way of eating
The term diet has negative connotations

Bulimia, laxatives and IBS also using finger to aid going toilet.
I have been stuck in a vicious cycle of binging and purging with my awful bulimia over the years, not taking in much nutrients and boozing a lot over the years. I’m changing things around as I’m tired mentally and physically of the eating disorder, and generally want to not cause my health to get to
