Passed on.
I wanted to reach out and say thank you to those who gave our family hope, information, and support over these past 2 years. My dad passed away yesterday. He was my world. He developed sepsis secondary to low WBC after chemo. His body had enough and he went peacefully. Diagnosed in 2011, tried all

Hi. I’m new to the forum and need help. My dad has castration resistant advanced prostate cancer with bone metastasis and suddenly became transfusion dependent on a weekly basis just one month ago. He had been getting monthly Radium 223 injections for 3-4 months and taking Xtandi. They took him off both

Oral Epsom Salts For Constipation
It is a magnesium chrystaline powder that can be added to apple juice to mask the bitter flavour. It really works for adults and children. Not for regular use but occasional. https://www.kegel8.co.uk/kegel8-epsom-salts-supplement-12176.html

Really struggling since thyroid treatment with being me.
I seem to get everyones back up and have realised I have probably done it again on Seaside suzies post. I think I was much easier to get on with before thyroid treatment as I never had the energy to upset people. Itis not intentional it is just that I think differently to most people and it seems to

Worried
Hi I have had limited systemic sclerosis and so overlaps for a few years. I’m under a local rheumatologist and the royal free. I’ve never had any difficulty with Gi issues and had an all clear barium swallow. About 3 days ago I started to get a pain between my shoulder blades It’s like I need to

ASCO Genitourinary Cancers Symposium (Xofigo - Radium-223 retreatment)
Darryl already reported this one, but the abstract is below [1]. Note that the half-life of radium-223 is only 11.4 days. "The recommended regimen is six treatments of 55 kBq/kg (1.3 uCi per kg), repeated at 4-week intervals." [2] "Re-treating with Ra-223 was well tolerated in this select pt population

Ferrous Fumerate 210mg
Trying to get some for my friend and used to get off amazon but no longer selling it. Can only seem to find on ebay or weird online pharmacy sites whom can't spell. Anyone know reliable source of where to buy? I suppose only other option is ferrous sulphate over the counter but this is harsher on stomach

Finally, a whole day & night without pain meds
Hi everyone, I want to thank you all for your posts, concerns, advice & honesty. I have severe chest wall nerve damage due to a surgery 5 years ago. My lung collapsed several times during & after surgery which required chest tubes to go in & out many times. Nerve pain is so awful that it would take

Increased meds
I’ve had to increase Zoloft to 200 mg and Valium of 20mg every 6 hours and I’m doing hypnotherapy twice a week (costs a bomb). It’s starting to have a positive influence, my body convulsions have dramatically decreased, I’m breathing much better and general anxiety and worry has come down to more manageable

Finally blood results
So finally got my blood results as follow: Ferritin: 145 (expected as I take Ferrous sulphate every day for months) Folate: 15.3 VitB12: 444, which I understand is good from a UK perspective, but a bit on the low in other places. However; MCV: 93.9, so in range but on the high side MCH: 34.8 which was

just like alot of the life stories I've read here, I had panic attacks for many years before I found the right counselor and drug combination. The one problem I'm still confronting is my fear of flying. I've only flown once in the last 10 years and was on Valium going and coming. Would like to hear

THE 'POLITICS' OF ILLNESS AND AI DISEASES
Hello Everyone Watching a recent documentary (available to watch on many platforms) made by a rather brilliant woman called Jennifer Brea and called 'Unrest' I was thinking of the many aspects with which it deals as also relating to those of us with PMR/GCA. The doco is primarily about 'ME' (once known

I'm still going strong!
Hi everyone, I though a positive note might help. I was diagnosed Oct 2013, PSA 620. Two of 12 biopsy cores cancerous. Gleasons, 3 and 4. 4 and 4. Widespread bony metastases to spinal column, ribcage, pelvis. Smaller lesions in humerus and femur and skull. After a few weeks on Casodex, changed to Abiraterone

Acute fever after having warm bath or shower
Hi everyone I'm feeling quite desperate as we all do from time to time for answers or people to understand us or just support. Lately I've noticed after a bath or shower I experience the onset of acute fever and my body temperature spikes to anywhere between 38.3c to 39.1c. I don't allow it to get higher

Why does it seem bleak
I have been on citalopram since September welbutrin for almost a month and I have valium when needed I have good days and really bad days I thought the meds would have stabbled me out by now? The thought of going out of my town still terrifies me, and even in town things I take my valium before I walk
