How honest should I be?
My friend feels imprisoned where she is (and that's accurate as she does not have the power to leave), wants to leave the unit and get
back
to work. Apart from the head
injury
my friend is physically mobile.

Pre cancerous skin lesion.
Have had odd mark (looked like dermatitus) for 2 years, always meant to mention to GP. chiropodist said lesion with lump last May. However, it was Jan this year on one of visits to GP re Bronchiectasis that i mentioned the mark on foot. Now using cream, if that does not work, will probably have to see

No more moaning - and set a new PB!
I know I was moaning about how difficult I was finding it post
injury
and admittedly, physically I was. Even getting
back
to 5k has been such hard work. However, when I delved a bit deeper into the actual stats, I found I wasn't that far off where I was before which made me feel a bit better!

Stopped in my tracks
Would be interested to know if anyone's had to re-start due to illness or
injury
and if so how far
back
do you need to go, had to stop after W5R2 so should I re-visit W4 or just try to pick up again from W5R1?

Night Cramps
Told the doctor about night cramps when I was in for blood pressure been high. Something he has been expecting but I did not expect it was anything to do with me bad chest so had not said anything a mistake when it could have added quinine sulphate onto me prescriptions over six months ago when it started

Observations of running to time versus running to distance
In terms of
injury
update, I've started to suffer with lower
back
stiffness the next day after my run. It isn't the same pain (certainly not in scale) to my facet joint and is really hard to replicate. I could be bending over to put something in the dishwasher and suddenly the back twinges.

Last week sometime, Libs answered a question on here suggesting self hypnosis when visiting the dentist. I really would like to know more on this subject as i have a true phobia of dentists and one of my top teeth has just broken in half! I have no pain yet but i know its coming and im terrified! Can

Morning runners
I haven't run since Boxing Day, when I had a gorgeous run, but two days later couldn't walk because of an unrelated
back
injury
. I'm hoping to go out today and use W5R1 to get back into it. I've also had my becotide removed by my practice nurse who decided that I don't have asthma.

C25K: A method of injury recovery
For the next week I had a slight pain in my ankle and then the following weekend my
back
went. I was diagnosed with a facet joint
injury
. A week of unbelievable pain, Tramadol and Diazepam ensued combined with a trip to the physio.

Keeping on keeping on......
I had a week off with
injury
then got
back
to my interval, tempo and long slow run routine which suits me a treat. I can really feel the progression and my fave is always the intervals! It amazes me that I can sprint for 400m and i always end up on a mahussive adrenaline high.

Fitness feeling good...health maybe not!
I trust that it will ease me
back
into things and help me avoid
injury
. Downside is there is normally something health wise trying to get in my way! I've been getting a pain below my ribs for a few weeks now on and off.

Graduation ...... at long last!!!
Numerous set backs along the way, including a fortnight lay off due to
injury
(then having to
back
track a few weeks to get myself going again), leaving at least two, sometimes, three days between every run to prevent reoccurance of said injury - and then foiled at the last minute by the snowy weather

A Bridge too far?
I suppose I have to look at it realisticly, I'm only a few weeks
back
from
injury
and not yet reaching 5k in under 30mins like I was before. I think I'll carry on with 5k 3 times a week until the end of the month and then think about it again.

Walking speed/running speed
I'm working
back
up after knee
injury
time :-) , on the treadmill as we're snowed under here and will be for a while yet. The problem is, with a treadmill you have to set it for the speed you want to go at - so what's best?

Back from hip injury
Hi, I am
back
from a hip
injury
with newly fitted running shoes and lots of determination. Started
back
more or less at the beginning because I am so scared of harming myself again. Happy New Year everyone. Lane.

Central nervous system vasculitus
hi - my 11 year old daughter has been diagnosed with csn are there any fellow sufferers here or other children and parents I can speak to. Were told it's rare and very rare in children. She recently had a brain biopsy, and is having cychlophosphermide treatment. It would be great to speak to others

Thinking of getting a beanie (and other musings)!
I know my fitness isn't
back
to where it was post
injury
in October yet.
Back
then, I got to the glorious point of finding an easy pace that felt about as comfortable as a brisk walk! I long to get back to that point, but in the meantime, I'll keep plugging away getting my fitness back.

Coping with separation while children are undergoing rehabilitation
Even if you feel your child should have grown out of needing such things, try to remember that frightened children (especially those with a brain
injury
), often seem to go ‘
back
in time’ for a while.

Back on the 'injury' bench.
Gah! This past week, I've got back into the running, clocking up 3 runs in a week, getting back to how I used to be. Loved getting out, especially at 5am, frosty and cold, but envigorating! However this past week, I've been nursing a crick in my neck which has followed down my back and has really
