Very best wishes for a good start back. I've just been and ordered myself a book about Chi Running - don't know much about it, but it sounded interesting, as I know I have poor posture, and I thought it might help me to think about how I run - it's supposed to be very good for avoiding injury, as far as I can gather. (Wikipedia: "quasi-yoga-based style of running that is purported to reduce injury risk".) I am looking forward to reading it (but am very happy to hear any comments anyone might have about it). Just thought it might be of interest to someone coming back to running after injury.

WELCOME BACK LANE!! Better to start at the beginning and not risk re-injury, then to push your hip too much. I bet the new trainers will help tremendously! Wishing you a wonderful 2013!!! Gayle
