Supplement advice post transfer
Hello, I am hoping someone can give me advice, especially those who have been through 2ww before. Can supplements continue after embryo transfer? I know I can continue vitamin D and folic acid but it’s the inositol and omega 3 I am uncertain about so would appreciate any advice? X

Your "failed to return" strategy
The tragic circumstances around Chris Smiths' failure to return home after his run and subsequent death has brought the subject to mind (again). Since my husband, Paul has done his MTB leader course, and his outdoor first aid, we've discussed it frequently. We're both bad for taking off without giving

Why we cancer: food for thought?
I stumbled upon an article that made me wonder if PC is an affliction that has arisen, partly, as a result of our evolving need to feed our big, fat, energy-hogging and ever-(over)-thinking brains. Here's a link: https://www.direct-ms.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Coffey.pdf This article popped up as

Continuous pain
Waiting for laparoscopy and changing to a combined pill. I'm in absolute agony continuously. I'm on gabapentin and mefenamic acid and paracetamol. I've been using a tens machine and hot water bottle. If any one has any suggestions to relieve pain I am really open at this point I'm just so fed up

5 Years on Alendronic Acid
Just had my annual PMR blood check etc. with my GP. I've had no problems with AA but I brought up the subject of reviewing taking it after 5 years and asked for a dexa scan as I'm not sure I even need to be on it. I had a dexa scan when first diagnosed and it was fine. He said I should stay on it until

Cerebellum Abnormality on CT Scan
I've been on HU for over a year maybe 2 and really didn't know if I had PD even though some symptoms seemed to fit. Just saw the movement disorder specialist who examined the CT and found an area on the scan with abnormality (he showed me) in the cerebellum. It fits many of my symptoms because I have

Yikes back to virtual school lessons for my two girls again, the schools a no-go zone covid has got to their year groups. So once lessons had commenced, I'm surplus to requirements may as well go run 👍. Weather check it's still shorts weather, double shirts though I think and the trusty running beanie

Pain so bad. Is A&E worth it?
Had to come home from work due to debilitating endo flare up pain. I am now in bed. I take my mefenamic acid three times a day but it does NOTHING for me when I have a flare up. Also had peppermint tea and have a scolding hot water bottle and wheat bag. Has anyone been to A&E in the UK with endo pain

Performance enhancing drugs.
Just watched that Netflix documentary, Icarus, about doping in sports. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6333060/ Well worth a watch, and it got me to thinking. Was several years back that I posted about performance enhancing drugs used (illegally) in sports, and how they could benefit us. First

Husband was wrong : not hard headed after all!
Hi all, Flew 8 hours from Canada to Switzerland last week to find out if I can ultimately receive FUS PTT. It turns out that yes, except for low skull density ratio (SDR) of 0.34, measured with CAT scan during assessment. Soooo, husband was wrong all these years, I am not hard headed after all! It

It is not Sunday - but I thought I would update you on my diet experiment
So, I went all out vegan on Sunday, I also stopped all oils including the Omega 3 red krill oil I have been taking for a couple of years, and other than a multivitamin and CalcD supplement stopped all other additions. Last Thursday, my Metoject Mtx dose went up slightly from 15ml to 17.5ml. On Sunday

Supplements and sulking...
Hi everyone... well 9 weeks into taking hydroxychoroquine I’m still having massive problems with my knees, so now on yet another course of steroids. I gave up drinking alcohol a week ago, I’ve just started swimming and trying to look after myself better - thought it would help but my knees are so sore

What Question(s) do You Wish You Had Asked Your Rheumatologist at the First Appointment?
I have my first Rheumatologist appointment on Wednesday re my preliminary diagnosis of GCA - (That will be day 15 of starting Pred). An artery biopsy has been requested and I hope to find out today, when that might be. I have kept a note of symptoms from the outset but want to be sure I ask all the right
