Liver Friendly Medication?

Hello, Its been a series of events that have led to this question. I'll hit the bullet points.

Bad Anxiety, caused vertigo, cant walk, bad vertigo. Prescribed Klonopin, 3mg/day for almost 4 years, worked fantastic. Dr. Retired, cut off w/ one week 1/2 mg. Got Sick, panic attacks came back differently. Broke blood vessels in my eye. This was 3 or 2 years ago..still remember how it was not cool trying to explain a bloody eye, Trial and error, I've landed on blood pressure medicine, and duloxotine, only 20 mg, which worked for a while, it seems to act as a placebo now. Then some major life changing events threw me off my pace, right before the quarantine, and I quit taking Bupropion, which was an addition to dulox. and bp meds, cold turkey, it made me feel funny-worse. Had been taking 150 mg for a couple months. I was drinking, but not on a binge, I'm near 40, drinking is not frightening, nor thrilling for me. I had a really bad seizure one night. Don't remember a thing. Later I was told I was vomiting all day..my tongue was half black where I had clenched on it. I was scared. Couple days later I went into another episode that wouldn't end, was hospitalized for 4 days, and remember maybe 2 minutes of it. The list of anti seizure medications is extensive. I still take Phenobarbital for a sleep aid. I am told that i was an uncooperative patient, fighting against treatment, and given, and prescribed Haldol. Through this experience, kind of in depth labs were run, liver enzymes were 230 some, they are supposed to be below 9.

Not 90, not 900, just 9. I don't really understand how all this went so wrong. Since treament and hospitalization I have only had a few small seizures, none for a while, knock on wood.

ALRIGHT Y, so this is how I got here. I am really hoping for any info, a recommendation? for meds that work, but wont affect my liver? Generic Cymbalta is not without its side effects, there are no lofty expectations here. I would sincerely appreciate any and all input. Maybe if anyone else has had seizures from liver enzyme levels?

Thanks a bunch, Thank you for listening.

Hi Julie, once again we are not doctors but for whatever it's worth, I'd like to respond

to your concerns. You've had quite a ride with medications and abrupt stopping of some.

That in itself can cause seizures (at least from what I've been told by doctors)

Add alcohol with some of those drugs and you can have a 911 emergency (have responded

to those calls myself)

I do personally know about liver enzymes because I've played that game with them going

up and down, sometimes very high. I don't drink, I don't smoke so my guess is that medications in the past gave me this problem.

It's pretty difficult to find a medication that doesn't affect the liver. Some may more than others but that is totally the doctor's call. Only he knows your health history and can determine what is in your best interest. Sometimes the only answer is to be given a medication you need but monitored ev 3 months or so with lab tests.

Please follow through with your doctor. I wish you my best :) xx
