I have had a bone density scan and have a 12% 10 hear probability lf hip fracture 😳😳😳😳

I have been put on Alendronic acid which doesn’t agree with me , does anyone have a different t drug ? Please

You might find better advice on the Bone Health Community jillyanne. It's run by the Osteoporosis Society and many members (including myself) could give you much advice and support. I have annual infusions of Zoledronic Acid, another Bisphonate, but not taken orally.

Hello Jilly,

I take residronate that I believe I slightly less likely to cause problems. In either case, the biggest problem is remembering which morning to take it then having to wait at least 30 minutes for breakfast! That is only problem when waking up hungry = most mornings!
