Hi Friends, I am still hoping to find successful treatment for my wife's horrendous pmr pred side effects and skin fragility.
Last week a stumble against the bedroom wall whilest undressing caused her to raise her arm to prevent a fall but the friction against the wall was sufficient to tear a flap of approx. 30 sq.cm. plus an injury to her leg. Fortunately our local medical centre provided excellent first aid care and healing

Egg head and concussion!
Here we are then! As the title says that’s exactly what happened. So no running for me this weekend. While at work on Friday after returning from my lunch break I accidentally whacked my forehead on the metal door of one of the anaesthetic drug cupboards in the anaesthetic room. This had been left opened

Coping methods for pain and mental health with endo?
Hi, first post here, I was diagnosed 6 months ago with "99% chance I have endo, but can't confirm until lap performed". I'm 26, and have suffered with bad periods since I was 14. After 11 years of going back and forth to doctors and being dismissed, after having issues with pill being discontinued and

Best healthy course of action for my bones
Hi! Hopefully my posts will show up now. I was given alendronic acid by my doc and after a short while, I stopped taking it because of some unsettling symptoms. If like to take some supplements, but not a whole pharmaceutical, and works appreciate recommendations of the most crucial. Also, I seem to

On birth control but doctor wants me to take Tranexamic Acid. Worried!! Anyone have to take this before while on birth control?
Hi everyone, I’m pretty new here and desperate to hear if anyone on birth control ever had to take Tranexamic Acid? Each medication heightens the chances for blood clots and both of them together probably isn’t good. I have been having this prolonged bleeding which seems to be stress induced for about

PMR, Refusing Bisphosphates and Calcium Spplements
I was diagnosed with PMR in May this year and am currently on 9mg Prednisolone with instructions from the rheumatologist to decrease by 1mg per month. If I manage to decrease at this rate I will be on 7mg by the time I see him (or the nurse specialist) again. I have read lots of posts on here and have

Asking for MRI
I'm going back to the doctors next week, a new doctors since I've moved house, to ask about (initially) the insane vulval itching I seem to be having mid cycle. However my period just started and it's heavier than the last, which was heavier than the last and so forth, and I'm wondering what options

Reduce the pain and stay positive :)
This month marks a year that I turned vegetarian in a bid to reduce the pain I feel from endometriosis. Like many of you I am still waiting for the lap. My world was turned upside down when I thought that all my years of pain might be something that would stop me having a family. Mentally it took a long

Mefenamic acid (painkiller)
Guys I just wanted to share this with you - as every little helps! My doctor recently prescribed this to me (I'd never heard of it in my life) and I have to say it's given me some good relief at times, I suffer really badly with pain all up my sides, back, legs & pelvis but this really does ease it

My Eleven BlueHorizon Blood Test results
This was with BlueHorizon. They could not have been more helpful, getting the sample was not so easy for an eighty five year old so we opted for a nurse to come take the sample. It happened within two days and the nurse was very kind and accommodating. The results were emailed back very fast with Doctors

AKM Shamsuddin, MD, Ph.D. (Univ. of MD Medical School) invests decades in cancer research and gets results
In 2015, three years after I was dx with stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer (two pelvic bone mets, PSA 19, G8), I discovered Dr. Shamsuddin's book "IP6 and Inositol" in my search for anticancer natural supplements. IP6 is a molecule found in every cell of our body. It occurs naturally in many sources
