Wit's end! Switch Levo brands, try NDT again, be patient with different dosage?
Dear wise and helpful friends, On 13 Dec. my labs were the best ever and on 31 Jan. they changed again, with TSH too high etc. I’m putting them next to each other: TSH: 4.80 -- range is 0.20 – 5.00 -- then TSH : 5.99 - FT3: 4.10 – range is 1.8 – 4,5 -- then FT3: 5,12 FT4: 10.01 – range is 7.0

Aclasta infusion.
This is my 4th day following zolendronic acid infusion and I thought I would share how this has been for me. I was very resistant to having further treatment having stopped taking alendronic acid due to side effects. However, after recent DEXA scan showed fracture in T9 and after much discussion I

Antioxidants
I’m aware of the situation with antioxidants and cancer, in particular with chemo. I was told that Alpha Lipoic Acid 600 mg daily and B-6 50 mg daily can help with neuropathy from Taxotere. I’m curious as to hear from others on this. Related: what about antioxidants in conjunction with immunotherapy

Doctor wants me to start Alendronic Acid.
Hi all, had a bad couple of weeks, started when I tried to reduce my Pred for the first time down to 12.5mg from 15mg, after the first week I was feeling rotten by the 2nd week back to where I was last November when diagnosed. Phoned doctors who put Pred back up to 15mg and ordered bloods. 2 days later

SO ANGRY: RESULTS GIVEN VIA EMAIL...REALLY!!??
So angry and I decided to write my frustrations out and seek help from all of you. My husband sees Dr Oh at Mount Sinai. Did bone scan and CT scan friday. 5 docetaxel treatments to date but he had a PSA increase past 2x's (.5 and again 1.5.) Dr Oh suggested adding carboplatin for number 6. I asked

Blooming bleeding.
Hi I would appreciate if others could share how they deal with regular lung bleeds. This morning it occurred again, around 10ml coughed up, but I did swallow some. It seems to be every ten days or so and lasts a few days. The most was 60ml or so. Consultants say it’s just part of bronchiectasis for me

Alendronic acid, Hydroxychloroquine and Prednisolone
Hi to all and hope the new year (freezing January) isn't doing too much damage to you. Last year I wrote about the horrors of my spontaneous vertebral fractures. Sorry about the original spelling mistake in that post. My tablet refused to put the r in vertebral! Since then I was doing well. Slipped

Alendronic Acid
Good morning! I have been taking Alendronic Acid once a week for the past 8 weeks. Last night 1 side of a tooth crown broke off (it has been cracked for the past year). In the expectation that I will get to see the dentist next week, do you think I should NOT take the AA dose due tomorrow ... I do

To take Alendronic Acid or not
My GP has contacted me and wants me to commence Alendronic acid for steroid induced osteoporosis. I asked him about a bone scan but he said no need as I need the treatment regardless of the results of a bone scan. The only problem is I do not feel happy taking Alendronic Acid with all its side effects
