Rls vitamins
Seems expensive for what you are getting, but if they work, then any price us cheap
If you haven't tried plain magnesium, preferably any of the --' ates', citrate, etc
Then that might be cheaper to try first.
Magnesium has been successfully used for rls and insomnia.
Good luck, and let us know how you get on.
Doctor Amazon is not the best place to get information about treating health problems! It's for selling stuff and as long as the stuff isn't actually illegal, it doesn't appear as if they have any qualms about whether it works or not.
I have no argument with Amazon, it is what it is. I am typing this on an Amazon device.
However, you're best getting information about RLS from appropriately informed sources, not any source of advertising.
Magnesium and iron can help with RLS.
Valerian can help promote sleep, i.e. if your RLS allows it!
However the product you appear to be writing about will probably not have enough of anything to help RLS.
Brain Iron Deficiency is associated with RLS, that's true. Whether you have this or not is indicated by a ferritin blood test. There is evidence that 50% of RLS sufferers can benefit from raising their ferritin level to above 100micrograms per litre. Raising the ferritin level with oral iron supplements requires something more than some "RLS remedy", however.
If your ferritin is below 100, the commonly accepted method for increasing it using oral supplements is take "gentle" iron, every other day, (NOT every day), on an empty stomach along with a glass of orange. This can work as long as there's nothing to prevent it being absorbed e.g. if you're taking a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) antacid, (anything ending in "prazole").
A magnesium supplement can also help with RLS.
If you have a deficiency in Vitamin B12 and/or Vitamin D then you may find raising these will help your RLS. Note again that taking an oral B12 supplement may not work if you're taking a PPI antacid.
Note also that PPI antacids can cause RLS and other gastric medicines that reduce stomach acid (eg. ranitidine) or some anti-nausea medicines (e.g. metoclopramide, domperidone), can make RLS worse.
There's also a long list of other medicines that can worsen or trigger RLS, so you might want to check out if any medicines you take are on that list.
Otherwise, my suggestion is that whilst some of the ingredients of what you write about are known to help RLS, I'd say that it's unlikely that, in that form, they may be of little value.
I take iron, magnesium, vit B12 and vit D all seperately. They're not expensive.
I get the iron from a supermarket, the rest from Ebay, (or Amazon).
Well done mustanaggirlgirl for looking outside the box humans have had rls for decades and the medical profession still don’t know what the causes are if you can research symptoms of magnesium deficiency and vitamins d3 and k2mk7 also
B12 methylcobalamin &adenosylcobalamin also research drinking celery juice first thing in the morning
You also need iodine for healthy nerves. I use very little salt so iodised salt is not much help to me. I take a kelp supplement once a week and add kaiso (Chinese dried seaweed) to a casserole. You also need to keep your insulin levels down (that's what drives your cells) by avoiding sugar and refined carbs.
They didn’t work for me
The leading supplement for RLS is iron, if you show a deficit of Ferritin. This product could work, but you can get Ferrous Bisglycinate Chelate of about $5 US. I would recommend getting a full iron panel before trying this. Iron supplementation was dramatic for me - even offering relief by using Blackstrap Molasses (it contains iron), then Ferrous Bisglycinate.
The calm legs are good but be careful the valarian was 800mg. After two weeks you
can become drowsy. I only used no more than half and I slept like a baby. I have sleep apnea and didn’t want to use to much.
Good luck with it.
I find Valerian very effective for RLS I take a 35mg tablet to settle my legs and it usually works. Occasionally I need another. I couldn’t take more than that. I buy them at my local pharmacy, in the UK.
I told my doctor I was taking it. So I would advise you to do that or even ask the pharmacist. Worth being cautious.
I take Restful Legs (by Hyland.) I think they really help me. I buy them on Amazon. Very inexpensive too.
