What happens next
My 68 year old husband was diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer to the bones Oct 22 with PSA at 220. Since then he has been on Zoladex, Enzalutamide and has just finished 8 rounds of Docetaxel. Apart from this cancer he is very healthy - but what happens now when the PSA starts rising again. He

Please advise about treatment
I posted recently about my Dad’s PSA going up from 0.008 in December 2023 to 0.029 in March 2024. He had a PET Scan that showed some activity in a rib and prostate, MRI showed nothing. The PSA started dropping to 0.026 at the end of March and then 0.025 in April without any treatment. We didn’t anticipate

Stopping Levothyroxine temporarily
I found out I had an underactive thyroid when had a routine blood test after breast cancer diagnosis. I had no symptoms, but was put on Levothyroxine (50) by GP at the time. I was also on Letrozole to stop estrogen. I was on Letrozole for 7 years, but since stopping it, I've had tummy problems...bloating

Lupron + abi/pred 9 months and PSA<.04 throughout - - consider dropping abi and monitor it?
I am a recurrence case and PSA went to 2.2 last year; multiple possible sites. After 9 months in now, PSA <.04 and TT <10 the whole time. Hopkins MO says he would not risk stopping the abi despite the immeasurable PSA whereas Moffitt MO says he would stop the abi since it "seems" not so needed and

Who is confused? My surgery or me?
I was asked by the GP to remind him, when I reached 3mg in my tapering, that I should have a synacthen test. I have now done so. However, I am being sent for an ACTH blood test Is this the same thing (I don't think so as I have not been asked to miss the steroid dose and there is no indication that

is this what CR looks like?
Starting Nov 20 last year, I began a relugolix on-cycle. Here’s the PSA readings from that point: Nov 20 : 3.10 Jan 8: 0.31 Feb 27: 0.13 Apr 15: 0.08 So up to this point, the PSA is dropping nicely, as it always has with on-cycles; and as I would expect, since I’ve been a strong responder

Diuretics
I have pretty severe edema in feet and occasionally legs.Is there a diuretic that does not trigger rls? I have tried Bumex and Metolazone. Had very bad rls soon after taking each one. I am on low dose Ropinirole -.9mg . It didn't even calm it. Appreciate any input.

Questions regarding dialysis and also transplant
Hi Everyone, Hope everyone is ok with all the crazy weather that has taken place all over. I recently started hemodialysis in the last week. Once again I have had to learn everything from you all or reading online/or in books which is not overly helpful at times. The dialysis center folks think my nephrologist

Allopregnanolone as a Regenerative Treatment for Parkinson's Disease (Allo-PD)
I just happened upon this trial and it is something I had never heard of. It looks like a very small trial being conducted in Tucson, AZ. https://clinicaltrials.gov/study/NCT06263010?locStr=Arizona&country=United%20States&state=Arizona&cond=Parkinson%20disease&aggFilters=status:not%20rec&rank=2 Detailed

Rising PSA with little shown on PSMA PET
Greetings all. I've been on this forum for years. I've only commented a handful of times, and never made a post. I prefer to usually just read from the sidelines. First of all, a bit about my path thus far. I was diagnosed in May 2010 (age 49) (PSA 4.7 and Gleason 7), had radical surgery in July 2010
