Pain following fibroscan

Hi went for a fibroscan on friday .. the nurse struggled to get reading but kept trying.. diagnosed with liver cirrhosis.. since then i have very bad pain around right side ribs...diarrea .. is this normal.. is it sore ribs or my liver playing up..

I had a similar experience a couple of years back. Nurse tried for over an hour but just couldn’t get the readings and all the time pressing on my ribs etc

However it didn’t cause dioreah so that could be something else as lots of winter bugs going around

Hi there, sorry you are going through some pain right now, I’ve had several fibro scans and they are painless, you shouldn’t be getting any pain afterwards. The only time they couldn’t get a good reading with me was twice in hospital due to ascites and a month or so later due to my liver still being inflamed/enlarged. My situation was through Alcoholism. Do you have ascites? When I did it was painless at first but as the fluid began to press on organs inside my stomach it become very painful and was a feature as to why they struggled getting a good reading when they did it.
