Sciatica anyone suffer from it
I recently got sciatica, and I've got to say, the pain is absolutely horrendous, it goes from my bum all the way down to my right foot, sometimes it's intermittent, and sometimes their is no letup. I went to see an osteopath on Tuesday, who said it can normally last up to 6 weeks, but at £55 a week could

Generic Lyrica is used to treat fibromyalgia and Epilepsy
Generic Lyrica 75 (https://www.buygenericpills.com/generic-lyrica-75mg)mg is the brand name of Pfizer for the drug Pregabalin. The FDA initially licensed Lyrica as an anticonvulsant or anti-epileptic medicine. It works by slowing down the brain impulses that trigger seizures. Pregabalin also alters brain

BMB done
Had a bmb this afternoon, a lot more painful than last time. They had a lot of trouble getting a sample, and had to have a two or three goes! Home now and quite a bit of pain in the area. Taken some pain killers which I hope will kick in soon. Feels like a horse has been kicking me. Fingers crossed

Association Between Antiepileptic Drugs and Incident Parkinson Disease in the UK Biobank
I am unable to post full text article, this is the summary with one comment regarding gabapentin. Interestingly my husband takes gabapentin for back/nerve pain. Prior to his diagnosis he was on a a dose about (600mg), taxes (900mg now) max for pain threshold is (2400-3600). Makes me wonder if we cut

Advice on Spasticity
Following a stroke my partner has severe very painful spasticity in his legs. Despite pain killers and antispasmodic drugs he is in terrible pain when moved ( and pretty well bed ridden as a result) I have managed to get him a referral to a special clinic in Orpington but the waiting list is so long

Kevzara (sarilumab) to treat PMR
Reasonable, I felt for active PMR and I'll take Tylenol
Arthritis
to help with
pain
if needed. But, my Rheumatologist wants me off Pred ASAP. He wants me to take Kevzara and says studies have shown that it gets rid of PMR and the drug should be approved to treat PMR by this spring.

Between endometriosis and trying
I have been diagnosed with endometriosis for five years. I had two laporoscapies, one in 2017 and the second in 2020. I got married in May, and thinking that it was two years since my last laporoscapy, I had prepared for beginning to try for a baby in May. To prepare, I had stopped hormonal treatments

can’t give advice anymore except to find the right Doctor.,
I can’t seem to get anything back into balance, my counts are all out and it doesn’t seem to be a big concern as it’s “not Covid”! Seems that’s all that interests anyone right now! I got one call saying my medicine should be adjusted, huh, he sent in a new prescription for 125 mg from 100mg , he asked

Normal imaging and blood
Sometimes I wish that an ultra sound or MRI or some sort of imaging would show that my joints and tendons are inflamed. Or that my blood would be off. Everything is always normal except for signs of osteoarthritis on X-rays. I have had this soreness for four years now. Firstly diagnosed with fibromyalgia

Which pain killer
Which pain killer is the best to use? Paracetamol doesn't seem to work very well. My hips have been hurting a fair bit. I'm tapping down and my body doesn't like it much!

new to methotrexate: will my MTX fatigue fade or continue?
I also have three other diagnoses: PSA (psoriatic
arthritis
), PMR (polymyalgia rheumatica), and fibromyalgia. My PMR
pain
and stiffness have largely gone away by my adopting a carnivore diet, so I am glad for that.

Bad pain day - tips
Hello all!I'm hoping for some wisdom from the NRAS hive mind on what to do for very bad pain days. I had a stomach bug over Christmas, missed a dose of methotrexate, and now I have a killer RA flare. I've been resting, gentle movement, painkillers, hot baths etc and am hoping it will resolve. If it lasts

Estradiol experiment update
I'm already in a lot of
pain
from
arthritis
and other issues and any more is unacceptable. At the same time, I have osteoporosis and would like to try to protect my bones with E2 rather than other options.

Good old arthur
Every previous occasion I've been put off by knee and foot
pain
mostly caused by
arthritis
after a nasty fall left me with dodgy knees. Does anyone have any help for me with how to cope or strap them up, supports, shoes, etc. I'm open to trying anything this time around.
