Arthritis pain

I am in a lot of pain with my knee arthritis this weather has not help is there anyone who could tell me what works with the pains don’t won’t to keep relying on medication

I also have arthritis so it is hard to tell PMR pain from OA pain. Tylenol Arthritis often takes away residual pain but not always. At the moment I am soldiering on with tapering with some manageable pain most days. Any advice is welcome.

Adult onset Stills disease diagnosed aged 17 in 1979 now 62 and not on RA drugs just pain relief and self management by living within the boundaries of what the condition allows. 2023 brought stress and may be the cause of worsening joint pain and new symptoms possible down to autoimmune thyroiditis

It seems that PMR can set off arthritis pain so I fear this may be what is happening. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I had an operation on my foot and have to heel walk in a special shoe for 6 weeks and use elbow crutches which exacerbates the arm pain. Is there a way to tell whether it’s arthritis or a PMR flare? When the pain is really bad I take Co-dydramol which helps, would that relieve PMR pain?

I have had for many years ischeamic heart disease (7 stents) damaged area of heart muscle due to two heart attacks back in 2014 plus AF. I also suffer with osteoarthritis in various joints the latest most recent in my right hip. This is constantly giving me severe pain that pain killers won't touch.

can you take naproxen and amitriptyline whilst on methotrexate obviously cause I’m in pain with my rheumatoid arthritis, awaiting appointments in march

I have develope that in right hand and forund that magnets do help . i was given these as my dad had used ythem and they came to me years ago . noe i hsve the arthritis and have founf the magnets lessen the pain . where can i buy more .

days a week now, cant take anti inflammorys and extra strength tyleno, for arthritis doesnt relieve pain, looking for suggestions, anyone out there in same condition

Ive gone on a reduced sugar, and reduced processed foods diet. I also day for at least 16 hours (5 pm to 10 am) this has helped my osteoarthritis immensely. I am able to play pickleball almost daily. Foods are know to cause inflammation. Find your inflammatory food and quit it to feel better.

It is not clear to her what is causing her pain ie PMR or the arthritis and if anything more can be done about it. Also if methotrexate isn't making her feel better is it worth taking? She has asked her doctor for x rays to understand extent of her osteo arthritis and is waiting to hear.

pain began 9/22 considered to be PMR then inflammatory arthritis; 30MG steroids worked initially then when reducing went on to methotrexate which didn’t work. Rheumatology now consider I don’t have PMR or arthritis and are referring me to pain management. A very bad spell over last 3 days.

Before my bypass I was diagnosed with arthritis in my knee , calcification in my shoulder and therefore chest and back pains were considered an extension of the rest of my symptoms, However after my triple bypass so far nearly five years on these pains have simply vanished. would like to know if any one out there has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, and can develop from all the other pain issues we experience ie, arthritis, pmr, degenerative disease, and taking prednisone long term, 8!years

My orthopedist has suggested I try voltaren on a toe that shows arthritis and has some pain/discomfort if I have any elevation on the heels of shoes. It’s a gel that is to be applied twice a day…with, hopefully some relief after using for 7 days. It does have ibuprofen in it. (Diclofenac..a NSAID).
