Possible link between lowered folate reading in blood test and numbness

Just been put on a 3 month course of Folic Acid tablets 5mg 1 per day to boost my folate readings. Apparently it helps restore nerve issues and boosts red blood cell. GCA damages these so maybe others have folate issues connected with numbness. Has anyone else had this as a possible solution to numbness and tingling? I'll let you know if there's any improvement.

Well, 24 days on I can't say that there is any appreciable difference in the numb feeling and hand tingling. Maybe not a folic acid root. The rheumatologist has lined me up for some sort of electrical response test at the hospital sometime in the future as he suspects a different cause. I think he mumbled something about a vasculitis or lupus but we'll see. He seemed pleased anyway so I suppose that's a good thing.

thanks for this. sounds promising. Good luck with the cycling. I'm about ready to try the turbo as the muscles are responding well. Understand about the feeling from the foot on the pedals.
