Ferritin levels
I have collected my blood test results and am looking for information before my g.p. follow up appointment tomorrow.I am under the impression that ferritin levels should be "optimum" in order for my B12 injections to work for pernicious anaemia. B12 217ng/L low folate/serum ferritin
Hello,I have been suffering with exhaustion, lighted head and occasionally hard to catch my breath. My doctor ran bloods, my folate is low at 3.4ug/L, serum ferritin 19.9ug/L and B12 is within range at 218ng/L(but low end). I'm wondering did anyone take B12 shots with these levels and did it help? Or

b12 deficiency - when to have Pernicious anaemia test?
hi, I am rather new to all this and would be very grateful for some advice. I recently had a blood test as I had moved GP surgeries and it came back with low B12 (70). I am on a course of 6 injections over 2 weeks, just had my 5th today. I have been given a blood form for ‘pernicious anaemia

Folic Acid does not cause PA
I saw this article with responses about the consumption of folic acid. What do people think about the responses? Especially the one who says that there shouldn't be a limit to the amount of folic acid taken. https://www.bmj.com/content/329/7479/1376/rapid-responses I have been taking 5mg folic acid

Advice on best treatment
I have had CLL since 2013 watch and wait. Recently hemoglobin levels dropped and a bit anemic so been advised 3 types of treatment. However left to make own choice. Guess would like to know what other people have tried and how effective treatment was.

I have RLS and recently updated iron labs revealed the following: Ferritin=59.2ng/mL & Transferrin Saturation = 53%.
I have been taking oral iron supplements (Iron sulfate 325mg) and Vitamin C 200 mg daily on an empty stomach but the ferritin has been going up but slowly but the transferrin saturation has gone up much higher. Should I continue with my iron supplements?

dose increase?
Good morning I’m looking for a bit of advice about whether I should increase my Levothyroxine dose now, or wait a little while. I currently take 125/137.5 alternate days. I took a test after 6 weeks and have attached a picture of the results. I also had an iron panel done at the same time and, as per

Iron deficiency
After blood tests showed low ferritin and other values indicating iron deficient anaemia, the NHS did a fairly thorough job over 6 months with various tests and procedures to eliminate internal bleeds as a cause ( anticoagulant doesn't help!). Finally given the all clear and advised that iron supplementation

Iron and magnesium levels plus
Hi everyone. I recently had blood tests done as suggested and results have come back showing slightly low magnesium level at 0.68mmol/L and serum ferritin level of 60ng/ml. (Low?) I've been asked to go back for retest on the magnesium but no mention of the iron? Looking back on my test results I had
