Mitral Valve Replacement
Hi, I have an OHS for one of my mitral valve in October at Barts Hospital. Has anyone got his/her operation at Barts Hospital? I have tremendous anxiety and fear for my operation. I have given only 50% chance to get it repaired so more likely it will be replacement the valve. My doctors suggested

Dear CLL Warriors 💜 I have a few Q’s. I had a Hysteroscopy and 2 other procedures done on Friday the 13th. The surgery was not completed as the surgeon cut a small hole into my uterus. I was sent home and returned the same day due to extreme lower abdominal pain. I was discharged on Tuesday, once it

Stopping progesterone at 8 weeks!
My clinic have advise me to stop taking progesterone at 8 weeks but to continue with my blood thinners (due to OHSS) til I am 12 weeks. I am feeling really anxious to stop and wanted to know if anyone else stopped their progesterone so early?

Three and a half years with Mantle cell lymphoma
I got diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma in March 2018 when I was 61. As it had already spread from my lymph nodes to multiple organs I was immediately admitted to hospital and began six rounds of Nordic protocol chemotherapy, followed by a stem cell bone marrow transplant. After my transplant I had

Rare clots with covid vaccines
Normal
anticoagulants
protect you from clots in the arterial system whereas the rare clots we are all talking about happen directly in the brain and have not drifted there from the arterial system. Just thought I would share that.

I’m going crazy
Backstory: have had occasional heart palpitations since I was 15 years old. Changing in frequency and feeling. I turn 23 tomorrow and have never felt this bad. I’ve had tons of ekgs, echos, holter monitor, blood tests, you name it. Been to a few cardiologists that have told me my palpitations are benign

Slow rising HCG levels- will I miscarry?
Hi All, Just wondering if there is any one out there with advice on slow rising HCG. I know there’s nothing they can really do about it… but I’ve been trying for years, had failed IVF etc. Fallen pregnant naturally somehow and I’m week 5.5 with HCG levels of 2300 they are not doubling every 48 hours

My father, 90, persistent afib, 3 yrs, Xarelto, was hospitalized for upper gi, major bleed. Xarelto is definite cause, now stopped. Bleeding stopped. Are all blood thinners out of the question now, after a very serious internal bleed?

Progress with Endo appointment
In June I finally got to see an Endo at The Royal Gwent Hospital Newport. He told me there’s no point having a scan now it should have been done in 2000 when I was diagnosed with Hyper thyroid is. He acknowledged that my T3 and T4 are low in range but my TSH is suppressed at 0.02. I had recently had

Grooming question
Hi folks. Please how did you remove pubic hair during pregnancy? It's getting like Amazon down there and the thought of the ouch of waxing gives me the shivers. I am on blood thinner worried about going selfie with shaving stick. Did anyone wax and did it trigger any abdominal pain? Sorry if it is

Afib or something else?
Hi …. I’m new here having only been diagnosed a few days ago. I’m still coming to terms with things and gathering information so sorry if this is a daft question. I had a fast and very irregular heartbeat come from nowhere last weekend. My heart was all over the place so after an hour I went to A&E

Anyone with a similar experience?
Hello! I hope you are all doing great! A year ago I had optic neuritis without any previous diagnosis or symptoms. I was hospitalized and treated with complete recovery. The usual suspect is multiple sclerosis which was proved by both an MRI and a lumbur puncture. So you might be wondering what I'm doing

Tattoos while taking aspirin.
Hi, I’m thinking of adding to my tattoo collection that I had previously before my HA. My question is, I’m on a blood thinner of 75mg of aspirin daily, Will I be able to go ahead? The tattooist is very reputable one known him for years, so all good there. Anyone had experience of large tattoos while
