i have recently got some piercings and apparently blood thinners cant be taken, i dont think it is but wanted to make sure just incase , i take ferrous fumarate

best person to ask is a dispensing pharmacist.Blood thinners reduce clotting so you may bleed more if taking them and I would imagine this is why they are seen as incompatible with piercing.

Iron supplements wouldn't fall into the class of blood-thinners as far as I am aware but I'm not a medical professional so please check with a pharmacist

It's highly unlikely that you're taking any anticoagulants, because if you were I would hope you were being monitored, and that the drug/s had been explained to you, but that's not necessarily always the case. [I discovered that my elderly father was taking Warfarin but his INR was not being monitored.]

Gambit62 as always has sound advice for you.

I assume that your iron status is being monitored whilst you're taking ferrous fumarate. Iron therapy must be monitored. Excess is probably rather more dangerous than deficiency.
