After trying a couple of times and giving up due to anxiety attacks, I have finally taken my rubbish bags down to the rubbish chute.
After a bad chest infection (2 weeks of antibiotics and steroids) I have been feeling very weak, shaky and short of breath, it doesn't seem a lot taking my rubbish out but the thought of going down a flight of stairs and along the walkway to the chute filled me with dread.
But I managed it, legs shaking and holding on to the rail for grim death so feeling very pleased with myself,
Steeling myself for my next project, taking the recycling all the way to the ground floor to the recycling bins

Hi Doggie, well done on achieving the walkway and stairs. Its an awful feeling but such a relief when you have managed it.
I will be the same tomorrow morning , I have a dentist appointment, which I hate , not because of the dentist or what he may do, Its facing very steep stairs up to his surgery. I have to go at least 15 minutes early so I can recover once I have reached the last step.
That’s a big achievement, you can feel proud you’ve done that. We all understand on here how sometimes little tasks are a big issue for us. Well done. Take care. Only do what you feel you can.🙂
It's the loss of ability to do small things that we used to take in our stride that brings home how lung disease can affect our lives. You sound as if, like me, you live in an upper floor property.
