Failed First Round ICSI - no blastocysts - NHS wants to put us back on the waiting list. 39years old. Want to try again next month
39, Just had a consultation with Dr after failed first NHS IVF round. No blastocysts. We were contacted out of the blue and our IVF started earlier than we expected (We were given a start of March 2024 as a guide to start) Our appointment was brought forward due to our age and AMH. First appointment

RLS and stress
When I am stressed although I am away from all nightshades and other foods worsening RLS, I am exhausted even in the morning. You know that RLS is sometimes a reaction of the immune system. The time I am taking paracetamol for pain, It triggers the immune system and causes other issues like lichen plants

SMBC / late loss / twins / heartbroken / guilt
hi everyone, I haven’t wrote in this in a long long time but always read other stories every day. I’m a SMBC and have a beautiful 3 yr old thanks to Ivf , he is my world and last year I thought strong and hard about trying for a sibling. I really wanted 1 more and to give him a brother or sister to

Short Protocol
Hi all, I've been told I'll be doing the short protocol when I start ivf shortly. I have quite a low AMH (nearly 40 years old) but no idea about anything else. Can anyone who also did the short protocol give me a rough timeline of how long it took for you from start to finish? Thanks xx

Egg harvest between stimulation cycles? Low AMH and poor reaction to stims
hi everyone I have a low AMH (6.2) and had one stim cycle on high dose of hormones( 350 Pergoveris). I didn’t react very well to the stimulation and out of 4 follicles they harvested 2 and only had one egg that reached blastocyst stage. It was a grade 4BB but the PGT-A test came back abnormal. We will

Chronic Endometritis
Hey lovely ladies! My question today related to endometritis/chronic uterine inflammation. I have done 4 hysteroscopies so far (two in 2021, one in 2022, one in 2023), each time the inflamed endometrium came out, with a "strawberry" appearance. After the tests, I came out positive for Ureaplasma (at

Emotionless towards IVF
I wrote a couple of months ago about donor eggs etc as I was pretty certain my ovaries had turned to dust. I ended up having an MOT in July and my AMH came back slightly higher (3.3 vs 2.2 and 1 in 2021) and follicle numbers looked good - such a relief. My partner’s sample also improved, but morphology

just 1 follicle
I’m currently undergoing follicle tracking on natural ovulation for PCOS. I’ve had 4 miscarriages due to low progesterone so need to go on the pessaries as soon as I get pregnant, as my problem is the embryo is implanting but soon miscarries as I can’t maintain my lining for some reason. Anyway, I had

desperately need advice on clinics that specialise in over 40 and low AMH
Hi all I urgently need some advice on clinics which specifically help women over 40 with low AMH and men with low sperm. I am 40 with a very low AMH of 0.3 and my partner has low sperm which is under 1 million with low mobility. We have had 9 attempts at IVF all at the same NHS clinic (we are now

Doctor won't diagnose PMR
I'm absolutely certain that I have PMR. But my blood tests all came back normal, including the erythrocyte sedimentation rate and the inflammatory marker test, and I'm only 56. My GP has just left me on NSAIDS and paracetamol with physio. It's not working. How common is it to have PMR with no obvious

What to say about NSAIDs and muscle relaxants
Hello All -- The other day I asked my EP which NSAIDs would be less harmful. He replied that since I am not on anticoagulants NSAIDs are not contraindicated for me. I said nothing. I didn't have the heart to say I had more confidence in my wonderful UK Afib forum than in his pronouncement. At some

Duloxetine with low dose of tramadol?
Hi all I’m hoping to switch from Amitriptyline (which is no longer working for me) to Duloxetine very soon. I also take cocodamol here and there and it really helps but I have to stop it ideally because of mast cell issues (a whole other story). Tramadol would be a suitable switch but I’ve read it

Naproxen
Hi all, just wanted to ask if anyone has had similar experience of taking NSAIDs?In 2019 I had endoscopy as I was experiencing stomach pain and afterwards I was told to avoid NSAIDs. I take pregablin 300mg x 2 daily and cocodamol if I have to. I recently asked gp for naproxen to try it for month for

Experience of Natural Cycle IVF with irregular periods
My periods have not returned to normal following my second round of cancelled IVF due to poor response. Previous cycles were a regular 28 days give or take, they seem to have gone off the rails following the IVF. Not sure if it’s an effect of medication, stress… or menopause as keeps being suggested

Normal amount of eggs retrieved per age?
Are there any statistics anyone has on what is a low, normal and good amount of eggs to be retrieved from an egg retrieval at each age? I know it is about quality as well as numbers but can't tell quality at this point. I am 37 and have just finished 3 rounds of egg freezing. Each cycle we retrieved

frustrated with gp re pain meds.
Ever since I had my stroke in 2018, I’ve not been allowed nsaids, due to the increased risk of further strokes. My then gp prescribed butec patches, which in the 5.5yrs have only been increased twice to the current 15mcg. I was given Tramadol for breakthrough pain which I don’t take too often. A box
