I then had to go through another angioplasty as I had developed a blood clot and the stents were blocked, giving me another heart attack. They managed to suck the blood clot out, but could only partially open my arteries.

I was revived, had an angioplasty and put in one stent in my heart. I was put on statins and Beta blockers. Took an angiogram in June, 2015. Had a double by-pass operation in July, 2015. I did not have diabetes before the heart attack. I was diagnosed with Diabetes 2 after the heart attack.

WHat with trying to keep hubbybuoyed up for his angioplasty on Friday  and the pain i have in my hands it has all got too much i had a bit of a crying binge. I know later it will be easier.  Well i hope so anyway.

My mum's thyroid was missed for years and was only picked up when she had an angioplasty - the consultant said it was a common mistake for only the TSH to be looked at and estimated hers had failing for 10 years!

Haven't missed them, to be honest because we have been caffeine free since husbands angioplasty - so no caffeine withdrawal either. 4 weeks to my holidays, so the stone is looking doable, but I expect the losses to decrease.

Approaching the first anniversary of angioplasty placing a single DES in the LAD (90% blocked - eek!); prior to very flukey diagnosis of erratic pulse in recovery after exercise completely symptomless.

I was just wondering whether anyone on here who has Takayasu has had angioplasty and/or stenting for narrowed arteries. I'm treated at Addenbrookes and have just started taking Tocilizumab. The doctors have just started talking more seriously about doing angioplasty on my left sub clavian.

Angioplasty - single drug-eluding stent - within a week; now on 40 mg Statins, clopidogrel until next May, aspirin daily and 2.5mg ARB daily. Lost 1.75 stone with changes to diet (didn't realise I had that much to lose!)

Hi there, Have any of you that has takayasu's arteritis had a angioplasty for the carotid artery failed. If so what did they do afterwards.

I have had scans done as well as an Angioplasty in Sept at the 1 year mark. No swelling. Just wish it was like it was before the GK. Never thought I would say that. I have trying acupuncture it has helped very little. Thank you! .
