I have been offered my Covid jab this Saturday 9th January but I have provisional date of 22nd Jan for angioplasty. Is it OK to go ahead with the jab at this time?

Meds post stents

Hopefully my angioplasty is scheduled for this a Friday. Do you still take nitrates? I know aspirin and anti clotting medication is prescribed as well as continuing with my blood pressure tablets. Is it a problem getting travel insurance after stents?

My husband had another heart attack on 8th Nov, had angio on 16th 3 further stents fitted ( 6 in total now) he was feeling great for couple days, breathlessness gone and back to normal skin colour then he started to look pale again and getting chest pains that twice went off with gtn but has other pain

Stents causing unusual EKG

I immediately received angioplasty and 2 stents. Since then, I have twice had the experience of receiving an EKG deemed alarming by the cardiologist who recommended another catheterization. Both times, no blockage was discovered. I was told once because of my stents, this could occur.

Pins and needles after angioplasty

My partner had angioplasty on Tuesday. It failed in his right arm due to the artery collapsing within a few inches. He is still having pins and needles, sensitivity and occasional weakness in his hand/fingers. They went in on left side and my partner says this arms fine.

Heart attack last August, no Stent

They did angioplasty, but were unable to insert stent(s) because of ectatic Right coronary artery. I'm told this means that instead of being smooth, the artery has narrow bits and wide bits. The problem was clots in the artery which blocked it completely.

Newly diagnosed and super confused!

They said his ECG looked like he had had a heart attack and they sent him straight to one of the bigger hospitals for Angioplasty to insert a stent. When they did the angioplasty, there was no need for the stent - vessels all fine, no collapses, no clots and no blockages.

post angioplasty

Hi and thank you to everyone that replied to my post (Re-Angioplasty) Had the stent fitted although they did pressure testing first which was kinda weird, it was decided to stent so had that done.

upcoming Angioplasty

I am due to go into hospital tomorrow for an angioplasty, was supposed to be done back in March but was understandably cancelled! But I have severe COPD (Emphysema) and am wondering if having a stent put in will help my breathing? The stent is for my Right Coronary Artery and is appx 25% blocked!

Will my dad be okay?

I’m terrified about the angioplasty and stents, even though I know it’s a fairly common procedure and less risky than CABG.

angioplasty tissue damage?

Went to doctor who thinks it might be tendinitis but possibility it might be related to angioplasty procedure. Went to physiotheropist who does not think it's tendinitis and might be damage from my angioplasty procedure. I have prescription for X-ray and ultrasound but not until August.

Has anyone had hepatic artery narrowing?

Also if anyone has had stents/angioplasty and if it has worked/how long for? Thank you. Yours truly, Pear.
