Angioplasty

Due to have Angioplasty this week after procedure is there much pain not sure whether they are going to use arm or groin- several people have told me to expect a lot of pain afterwards now worrying about coping at home.

Hello, I have an angioplasty on 20th January, and I find swallowing fingers and pain in my fingers each morning. Also I feel a pain in my arm where a inserted cuateter was. I v been to my doctor and he said that that is ussual/ normal for person with tiny and curved arteries.

Scheduled to have angioplasty at end of week with possible stent if needed. Worrying about the whole thing . Not to sure how many stents are needed possibly two. Reading on this site about a STEMI procedure is this the same as angioplasty or something different.

I will ask the cardiologist but has anyone had an angioplasty, only to have a stent soon afterwards? Also, I'm sure the angioplasty was further down to where he placed the stent. Can surgery dislodge the plaque?

Hi just been for my pre assessment and procedure booked for mid February. Have now been told to take a loading dose of Cloprodgil sorry about spelling a week before procedure so on first day six tablets all at once followed by one a day for following week. Hi my BHFs I had balloon angioplasty on 8th Jan this year along with being started on DAPT (clopidogrel+aspirin) and a statin and nitrate tablets (all new).

My cardiologist says my heart is fine since an angioplasty procedure in November but AF seems more regular now than before I had it done.

He wants to deal with it so going in to have an angioplasty if after checking he deems is relevant and if necessary a stent. Anyone had this procedure (I am sure plenty have) can you let me know what it involves is it painful and recovery time. Many thanks.
