Angioplasty

He wants to deal with it so going in to have an angioplasty if after checking he deems is relevant and if necessary a stent. Anyone had this procedure (I am sure plenty have) can you let me know what it involves is it painful and recovery time. Many thanks.

Month ago i started having discomfort and tightness feeling in chest and after a couple of vists to A& E, i had a balloon angioplasty on the old stent.

should I let my cardiologist do another angioplasty through the groin after failing to be able to enter any of the 3 completely blocked arteries through the ankle? Is it time for a vascular surgeon? I understand vascular surgeons have tools cardiologists do not use.

Hi all, I'm approaching the 1 year anniversary since my heart attack and angioplasty. I wondered if anyone out there can advise what there experience was in regards to a medication review? Did your GP contact you after 12 months or did you contact them?

The join at bottom of bypass is curved and advised that it can’t be unblocked with angioplasty as they can’t bend the wire round . I live in Northern Scotland but would like to know if there are any procedures that could help .

I had a balloon angioplasty in 2022 after an angina attack. Prior to this I took small doses of diclofenac to help with the chronic pain however my GP said I cannot have it because of heart disease.

Whereas before , and a good while after, my angioplasty I would experience sharp pain when exercising , that pain has now been replaced by an intermittent , but persistent , pain which I would most closely describe as a 'stitch'.

Treated with balloon because artery was completely blocked with clots but after second angioplasty was told there was no need for a stent. The attack was very sudden - got up feeling fine and it happened 10 mins later. Since then have had a real loss of confidence.

Fitted in a not so comfortable angioplasty, and I feel worse this week than I did last week. The nausea seems to be worse, I sleep a couple of hours and then awake most of night before dozing for another hour in the morning.

My arteries were quite bad but luckily 3 hours of angioplasty sorted them. Exercise doesn’t change anything and after good sleep I feel the same. I know we are lucky but everything is a real struggle. Does anyone else have the same issues?

On Wednesday evening his pain Hot unbearable x after 8 hours in A&E he was informed he had suffered a heart attack x currently awaiting an angioplasty. I know EGPA can affect the heart but until now it's been ok.

Had emergency angioplasty and one stent fitted Lucky to be here but still in shock and wondering if I’ll ever feel normal again and get back to my old life. My medications are making me feel lightheaded and nauseous.and affecting my ability to start light cardio exercise.
