.- Also tried celecoxib and amitriptyline but pots and gastro issues means those are a massive no go for me

But having also had the morning headaches again that I used to get every day before I took amitriptyline, I can see no option but to start taking it again. Looks like I'll be on it for life :(

I hope this isn't a sign of it stopping working for me as I really don't know what else I could try, I have been taking it for about a year, alongside Pregabalin and Amitriptyline. I have also had a flare every day this week and today I feel quite emotional (difficult in an open plan office!!).

She is prescribed Gabapentin, Cymbalta (swapped from Amitriptyline) and Omeprazole. We eat very healthy, she sleeps propped up, and we've seen every doctor/specialist we can get our hands on. The pain episodes happen more often late at night/early am than any other time.

Hello everyone Yesterday I have received new antidepressants called Amitriptyline. I had to stop Duloxetine after nearly a year due to bad side effects. Does anyone have any experience with Amitriptyline?

I am taking 25 Amitriptyline for PHN, I know the drug has side effects - e.g. dry eyes - but I recently have realised that I am unable to cry, upsetting as I have a lot of stress in my life at present and feel a "good cry" would help. Anyone else on AMI. experience this?

Does anyone take amitriptyline and duloxetine together just been prescribed amitriptyline used to be on clonozopine.

None of the over the counter medicines work, I am taking Amitriptyline which helps a little at night and I tried Sumatriptan but the doctor wouldn't give anymore as he said they can cause rebound headaches.

I take 1 of 0.5 mg Ropinirole 3 times daily plus 1 of 10 mg Amitriptyline before bedtime and I'm still struggling to get to sleep with tingling legs, sudden spasms in cramps in thighs and groin. I have been unable to sit comfortably for long for several years.

I am taking 25mg of Amitriptyline for PHN (shingles) and to help me sleep. Works well but no matter how carefully I swallow tablet I have a painful burning sensation in mouth and throat which can last for over half an hour .

This was after 7 years free of RLS and one tiny 10 mg of Amitriptyline caused this reaction. I got in touch with the GP and let rip! ! Why ever do they insist on prescribing this med for RLS? ??

I have been told to increase the amount of gabapentin and Amitriptyline I am taking. I am doing this gradually over the next few weeks . I am not convinced it well help. Feeling quite negative about my treatment. If this doesn't work I am told they will do a Gangular Impar block.

Has anyone else tried Amitriptyline? 48 hours ago my Doc gave me some to try saying it would help me get a full nights sleep and also help my stomach/bowel to relax at night as my mind is at rest too. Then last night out of the blue I had the worst IBS-D I have had in easily a year. Coincidence?

I was prescribed Ibuprofen ( for the clot) and Amitriptyline ( for the nerve pain). Four months later and I saw no improvement. Now I know that Ibuprofen affects the B12 absorption. I don’t think the GPs are aware to be honest!

However went to Rheumy app last week yet again saw a different Rheumy registrar who has now put me on Amitriptyline to replace Pregbalin, after reading the instructions etc inside tablet box I see this Amitriptyline is for depression!!!!!

I had an appointment with a neurologist about a week ago and put me on a withdrawal from my dose of 20 mg of Amitriptyline (an antidepressant) due to it making me over emotional and causing early signs of depression.

had 4weeks of hell blacked out 3times twice outside now won't go out as im terrified and on major downer dog increased my venaflexin to 225and started me on pregabalin 75mg anyone else ever had these two together and amitriptyline to ease pain at night need sleep and just want to feel normal
