Just had a funny half hour
She has agreed that
Amitriptyline
is not for me, so I am onto a different drug: Mirtazapine. I will find out tonight if they work. On another note, I just had a funny half hour. The vision in my left eye became so blurry that I couldn't see straight.

I keep staring at everything I look at and I'm worried!
I'm also on a really low dose of
Amitriptyline
. So I was just wondering if anyone has this staring thing and know what it could be, as I say it's not like I'm just daydreaming, I'm just really worried!

New drug and other news...
I have taken
Amitriptyline
for 3 nights, 10 mg a night. I am sleeping a bit better but still have difficulty getting off to the land of nod and staying there. So tonight I will be increasing to 2 tablets. This is only a short term measure. I cannot afford to be on them when I return to work.

Is this flare pattern normal?
I am on hydroxychloroquine and
amitriptyline
but surely if I'm having these flares (and missing a week of work each time) I'd be justified in having steroids? I've had one steroid injection in the summer and it helped massively.

Antidepressants and stomach ulcers, please help!!
After extensive googling I found two kind of injectable AD's, imipramine and
amitriptyline
, or an MAOI patch, but I don't think thats available in the UK. Has anyone ever had injectable antidepressants before, and are they even prescribed outpatient? Any help gratefully received!

Is this pain from my endo or nope?
My only crack pot theory is that because I'm on
Amitriptyline
50mg for my interstitial cystitis, my nerves are kinda numbed... Making the pain feel stranger than just plain ol' horrific cramps (which I do get during my period). But that does kind sound of silly. What do you think?

QUESTIONS and ANSWERS -by Prof David Baguley,
There have been some research trials on a very similar drug (
amitriptyline
), suggesting some benefit for tinnitus, though the studies were not robustly designed.

Amitriptyline withdrawal symptoms
But having also had the morning headaches again that I used to get every day before I took
amitriptyline
, I can see no option but to start taking it again. Looks like I'll be on it for life :(

I think I am going mad ....
I hope this isn't a sign of it stopping working for me as I really don't know what else I could try, I have been taking it for about a year, alongside Pregabalin and
Amitriptyline
. I have also had a flare every day this week and today I feel quite emotional (difficult in an open plan office!!).

Unable to cry!
I am taking 25
Amitriptyline
for PHN, I know the drug has side effects - e.g. dry eyes - but I recently have realised that I am unable to cry, upsetting as I have a lot of stress in my life at present and feel a "good cry" would help. Anyone else on AMI. experience this?

Ivor Lewis Pain and Nausea Years after
She is prescribed Gabapentin, Cymbalta (swapped from
Amitriptyline
) and Omeprazole. We eat very healthy, she sleeps propped up, and we've seen every doctor/specialist we can get our hands on. The pain episodes happen more often late at night/early am than any other time.

Boom and bust
None of the over the counter medicines work, I am taking
Amitriptyline
which helps a little at night and I tried Sumatriptan but the doctor wouldn't give anymore as he said they can cause rebound headaches.
