I had been on

It's back after 7 years!
My GP has prescribed me mebeverene, Naproxen and
amitriptyline
. I was referred to a bowel specialist which has come back clear. Was wondering if anyone had experienced similar issues, I am 46 and wondered if was nearing my natural menopause age and if this might be causing it?

constant pain
Today I am taking through my GP mebeverine and low dose
amitriptyline
which means I now cannot feel pain or not much but it worries me as to the cause of constant pain in the first place.

Iloprost infusions
I have tried Sildenafil (but couldn't tolerate the side effects) and for a while now have been on
Amitriptyline
(or Nortiptyline), and Pregabalin. So far, nothing has relieved the pain in my feet. I saw the Rheumatologist last week and he has referred me for Iloprost infusions, starting next week.

Coming off amitryptyline.Any advice please.
I was prescribed
amitriptyline
9 years ago to help prevent chronic migraines.Started on 10mg per night.Went up to 20mg per night about 5 years ago.Seemed to be working OK.Less frequent and I could function if I did have one instead of in bed.I have Graves disease and had a thyroidectomy last June.

IBS hell
My last resort is going on
amitriptyline
, as I have tried everything going! Including extremely expensive supplements. I'm tired of trying to 'fix' myself and that nothing is working. It's all I think about! Luckily the bowel habits are now not too bad, its just the inflammation pain.

Update - Not Polymyalgia?
He said I don’t have PMR but my symptoms are from cervical spondylosis (from neck xray GP had ordered after I insisted) Rheumy told me to taper off a milligram every 2 weeks and go back to GP for painkillers or
amitriptyline
. I’m beginning to think doctoring is pure guesswork?

Improvement Woe
I have had several months of good results off
Amitriptyline
and sleeping well unaided for the most part. I have had several close call medical issues and survived.

Duloxetine and insomnia
Hi all I reached out to the group recently about switching to duloxetine from
amitriptyline
and got lots of helpful advice. I’m now on 30mg of duloxetine and will be increasing further soon but I’m struggling with the side effect of not sleeping.

Advice please
I was put on 10mg
Amitriptyline
- which had been rather hit and miss. And I know from here that many would say
Amitriptyline
is the last thing you want to have for RLS. So I’ve got an GP appointment coming up. I noted some on here have been evangelising about Gabopentin.

Amitriptyline vs nortriptyline?
On the plus side, I havnt woken feeling hungover, which is how
Amitriptyline
makes me feel. I’m just interested in what others may have experienced really please. It’s early days so I’m happy to continue for now and see how this works out. Thanks
