Fibromyalgia flare up
Hi, I am looking for advice please, I have had fibromyalgia for 5 years, I am having a flare up at the moment and the pain is bad. I am so exhausted with it and stiff everywhere. I managed to get a call from the GP who has prescribed me with Amitriptyline, I’m a bit concerned about taking this? Any advice

Finally being heard!!
I've just come off a call with my new gynae, we spoke a few months ago so this is my second time dealing with him and I literally sobbed the second we ended the call because for the first time in 6 years I actually felt heard and like he genuinely wanted to help. The second I mentioned how horrible

Amitriptyline & ADHD
Hi all, About a week ago, I started on amitriptyline for chronic pain, and since I about 2 days ago I've noticed my ADHD getting worse. I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this with amitriptyline or any kind of similar pain medication? I know it's a shot in the dark haha, but figured

RLS - Pramipexole and CBD oil
I have suffered with RLS syndrome for 35/40 years or so. After many different medications I remained on Amitriptyline for years. My RLS became much worse earlier this year with severe jerking and very little sleep again. My GP put me on Pramipexole, to be increase from 1 to 3, as needed. I was ok on

Amitriptyline side effects
My gp started me on amitriptyline last Friday as I have costochondritis and was struggling to get a good nights sleep with the pain , it’s also getting worse through the day . The last two mornings I’ve woken up at 8 feeling ok but an hour or so later I’ve had to go back to bed and gone back to sleep

Oestrogel and utrogestan
Hi, I'm 51, post menopausal for about 5 years. I have IBS which has worsened since I had a hip replacement last year. My GP put me on Oestrogel and utrogestan in May this year in the hope that it would help I use 2 pumps a day and utrogestan vaginally every 2nd day. My stomach is still not behaving,

"A change in diet may reduce risk of lethal prostate cancer" Your thoughts on the study results below?
What do you all think of these findings, particularly regarding the foods listed? Some of them are known to be heathy, such as: fish, beans, nuts, pulses, spinach and beets! Also - What if you already have aggressive prostate cancer, then does eating the less lethal food, mentioned below, become less

Costochondritis treatment
Had a phone appointment with my gp yesterday , recent tests have ruled out cardiac causes so I have to do two weeks of peak flow tests as I get a very tight chest with increased heart rate walking uphill and send the results to her , she said it could be linked to my costochondritis . Has anyone had

Amitriptyline
Has anyone been prescribed amitriptyline for pain relief and has it worked? Been upped now to 30mg for pain relief (they’re very keen to let me know it’s not as an anti depressant!) and it’s doing nothing at all.

Anyone currently on gabapentin…
my pain management consultant has suggested pairing gabapentin with either amitriptyline or duloxetine to get the best out of both pain killers. They have synergistic qualities when together.. is anyone currently on a these or have any experience with it? Looking for any advice or feedback please? 💖

Morning nightmare.
I hate the mornings as I never know how things are going to be.That dread feeling. I try to keep busy to take my mind off of it.I don’t eat breakfast only have a cup of tea. Then all of a sudden I have to go.It starts off a normal bowel movement then the last little bit is hard to pass but it’s loose.I

Ketamine
Has anyone tried Ketamine for PD dyskinesia or depression associated with PD? There is a clinical trial opening in my area and I am trying to decide whether or not to participate. My dyskinesia is mild. Thanks!

One for the ladies…….. Hi all, I’m after a little advice. I hope someone can help. I have RA and fibromyalgia and take hydrox, methotrexate & amitriptyline. Like many of you my condition causes my blood ‘stores’ to get low. (I’m told this isn’t the same as anaemia but it does make me feel pretty
