Atkins or Keto?
It's been a long time since I've checked in. I hope everyone is hanging in there! Lot's of new faces/names. I'm just wondering if anyone has attempted the Atkins or Keto diets (short term 6 months) and had any adverse effects on their livers? I'm PBC stable right now. My last lab showed an elavated alk-phos

Neurotoxins: Free Radical Mechanisms and Melatonin Protection against Molecular Mutilation
After reading this article, the notion that Parkinson's disease is idiopathic and Alzheimer's disease and
ALS
/MND have no known cause is ludicrous.

Does Covid boost ALS?
Abs lymphs (
ALS
) were 82K in July. Got 1st Evusheld 8/23. Got Covid 8/31 and started Paxlovid same day. 5 days later, 9/5, felt great then went on a vigorous 31 miles bike ride (probably too soon for such exercise). Then rebound on 9/12 with positive home test.

Prayers
Are PPMS,
ALS
, or stiff person syndrome. Quite literally, PPMS would be the "best" out of those 3. The other two, are an absolute death sentence. Please don't pray for me. Please pray for my Mom, who cannot even look me in the eyes without crying so hard.

PBA Pseudobulbar Affect
Since PBA is often associated with underlying neurological conditions, such as a brain injury or
ALS
, people with PBA will likely have other symptoms that correspond with the underlying condition.

My son was diagnosed with Biliria Artresia at first month after birth. He underwent Kasai procedure at 2nd month. After that his stools are normal and bilirubin is under control. But recently he passed black stools and sometimes blood in the stool. His bilirubin is 0.4 and SGPT is 108 and SGOT is 84.

Has anyone [else] on Besremi had issues with elevated serum potassium?
My last several chemistry labs have had elevated Potassium levels and my diet hadn't really changed except for adding Curcumin TID... Now my MPN MD has me on a low potassium diet, but honestly, my intake wasn't very high beforehand... COMPREHENSIVE METABOLIC PANEL - Past Results Name Standard Range

Update 7.0
Things have been coming along pretty well. Iron levels are gradually increasing, resulting in an increase in erythrocytes. On 10/07 at my PCP lab, HCT = 47.7% and HGB = 15.3. Subsequently labs at hematology lab, HCT dropped to 44.4 and 46.0. HBG = 14.7 and 15.0. Since HGB is staying in the desired range
