Just had blood test results Billirubin 111,alk phos 146, kidney 65%, potassium 2.6, been advised by GPS to go to a&e, but in the current climate don't really want to go. Plus it's my birthday today! Any thoughts?

Has your GP sent these results to your liver consultant? Have you got contact details for liver consultant to run this by them? Don't mess about with it, if doctor is seeing something so alarming as wanting you to go to A&E there is obviously some concern.

Happy Birthday but get checked out. Has GP arranged for you to report to hospital? or just telling you to walk in? There may be a difference as to how long you wait. Obviously do all you can to keep away from others and stay covid safe etc.

Had meds changed a few weeks ago think this is causing a it, also am away from home at moment for holiday treat, so not near my local a&e. Home tomorrow though! Xx

I'd be tempted to give consultant a bell to see if he/she is concerned as GP.

Obviously you want to enjoy your break away BUT you don't want to leave it too long as during festive period there won't be as much of a service on at hosital and no doubt you don't want an emergency admission then.

l would stop drinking straight away if you are drinking go straight to a and e my bilirubin level is 109 at the minute down from 500 when when in hospital , and i need a transplant after 10 months no drink so there still time for you dont let them get any higher then what they are

I rang my liver nurse and I have an appointment in clinic tomorrow, stop taking water tablets and eat lots of banana's and mash , will keep everyone posted! Thanks for your input everyone! Xx

Happy Birthday. Think you should get checked out if your GP is concerned. I’m sure you will only worry over the Christmas period if not.
