Hi Again,

Firstly just be aware that its against forum rules to post test results. There's a few reasons for this. Firstly, no one here is really qualified to interpret and give an opinion on them as they won't have the full picture. Secondly references ranges vary between labs, so what is within normal limits in one may not be in another (some use different methods to get the results so the ranges can change). Thirdly, in liver disease in particular, blood test results dont always give an indication of degree of damage, they are prone to vary with bouts of active and inactive disease phases.

Having said that there is of course some things we can say. Firstly anything that is outside the norm will be highlighted by the lab that did the test or your own doctor. If those test were done at my hospital all look to be within the ranges of normal. Wherever did the tests though will usually post their ranges on line too, so you can always check it out directly that way.

Hope thats helpful. If everything is within the normal range it is generally a good sign. It doesn't necesssrilly rule everything out, but it does help indicate that there isnt much activity ongoing at the time of the test.

No, please keep posting. Whilst we can't interpret test results we can always share experience. That is usually really helpful and its why lots of us are still here. There's lots to be gained from that alone. 😊😊

Oh no love ,don't stop posting....we all help each other out with different experiences etc....some may be useful, ,from all different perspectives ,regarding liver issues. Its just non of us are medically qualified to interpret results.....that does need to be your medical team,as they know all of your medical history.

There will always be some one to help you out ,reassurance etc .

My best. Chris

Hi, can I recommend that you ring the BLT helpline. The nurses are fantastic and will be able to help you understand the results.

Please do keep using this site. People are really trying to help. Kristian was just explaining why he couldn’t comment on your specific results. You wouldn’t have known because you’re new and lots of people make the same mistake. What Kristian has said is good advice, and reassuring for you.
