Does anyone have cutaneous lupus?
I cant find anyone with this, without systemic involvement, even though I was ANA positive, and have a lot of the other symptoms of systemic lupus. I eventually got told by rheumy that I actually had fibromyalgia as well as cutaneous lupus. The main symptoms of the cutaneous side of things is my allergy

What is your OTC Painkiller of choice for Migraine (UK)?
As we know, for some of us nothing really works to take away the pain - after years of trial and error with meds. Been through the spectrum of painkillers. By far I find the most effective to be Alka Seltzer, the effect of the aspirin and effervescence does offer *some* relief. That is, only if it's

Is seronegative lupus real?
The last time I saw a rheumatologist (in May) I was told that i couldnt have lupus because my ANA was negative, even though my ESR was positive along with protein in urine (both apparently signs of Lupus) Based on all my symptoms, I think the only explanation is lupus. I also think I have Sjogrens Syndromedue

ANA pattern
I had a recent ANA test that came back 1:640. If I am reading the results correctly, both homogeneous and speckled patterns were found. Is it possible to have both? And if so, what does that mean exactly?

Rheumatologist update
Saw the Rheumatologist on the 14th, agreed that the rash looked like butterfly rash. He I had complied a list of events from when I thought I had my first attack. He listened and wasn't dismissive, he was the ANA test I had in march was quite high. He decided to put me on hydroxichloroquine 200mg twice

MCTD vs SLE
Question: is there any difference in the treatment of MCTD and SLE? Here's why I'm asking... I visited my GP after developing Raynauds and what I thought was RSI in my hands/wrists early this year. My ANA test came back positive, along with a positive RNP result. My GP referred me to a private rheumatologist

STILL FEEL SICK BUT...
I'm so happy to have found my new GP. Although my rheumy appt isn't till August he is doing a second ANA testing, ct scan and a bone density test. He looked at my rash on my face and actually looked at my hands and feet. Just the fact that he looked at me and not his notepad or prescription paper.

Self medicating hypothyroidism, advice??
Hi everyone! (: I'm new here so I hope I'm doing this correctly. I could really use some advice.. my doctor is useless(what else is new), I know pretty much 100% that I have hypothyroidism. It runs in my family and I have struggled severely with *every* single symptom(including the more specific ones

What is an ANA test?
My husband got diagnosed with RA in April of 2015, but was awaiting two knee replacements for osteo-arthritis in his knees, at the time. As he also has a chronically infected condition affecting his lungs, (bronchiectasis,) the local hospital didn't really want to do his knee replacements at all and
