new to all this
Hi there, I’m new to all this. This is all part of a bigger story. I already have a stoma after my gp left me for three years with bowel problems and did no investigation. My bowel burst, I ended up with septic shock and nearly died. Last year they found I had a peritoneal inclusion cyst which was

Please can anyone recommend a ‘thermal disinfector’ for a nebuliser?
After a long flare up of my
asthma
(non
allergic
/non eosinophilic), I’ve been prescribed some nebuliser meds and now have a nebuliser (for emergency use only). Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced small disinfector for it.

Changing from Breo to Trelegy for asthma
Hi, my GP is suggesting I switch from Breo for my asthma to Trelegy, due to difficulties lately with controlling flare ups. Has anyone used either or both for their asthma? Thank you 🙏🏻

Hayfever and asthma
Really struggling at the moment with hayfever / asthma symptoms. Inhalers help for a short while but it’s really effecting my quality of life currently. I’ve heard hayfever in the U.K. seems to be affecting a lot more people every year being particularly bad this season. I’m at the point where i don

Positive Laparoscopy Stories?
Hi everyone😊 I was diagnosed with Endo early last year (even though I’m certain I’ve had it for about 9 years). Basically they found an ovarian cyst on one of my ovaries last year, confirmed via MRI that it was an endometrioma and I was placed on the waiting list for surgery. After waiting around for

late effects
rectal cancer 2008 chemo/radio.7yrs later sudden bleeding &mucous ,had 3 purastat treatments at Wythenshawe hospital.Bleeding stopped.Had tried hyperbaric no good. Also got stoma so diet won't make any diff. Radio destroys healthy tissue hence discharge. Seems to be no treatment but removal of rectum.Major

Frustrated and hopeless....
I just wanted to vent and share with people who might be going through something similar. I am nearly 35 and have been waiting for a date for my excision surgery since November. They think my endo is now stage 4 and in my bowels, bladder and ureters. Despite being at the top of this waiting list

Covid?
Hello everyone, About 5 weeks ago I came down with Covid. Seemed to get through it ok, but about a week after my asthma starting playing up. Symptoms are breathlessness mainly at night, mucus of chest that’s hard to cough up, tight chest which relieves when taken inhalers. Spo2 is around 97% slightly

Cat ALLERGY
Can anyone help can you just get occasional
allergic
asthma
from cats or would it happen all the time. I have had allergy blood tests and results show I’m allergic to all apart from trees, never had a problem in the past with grass dust etc.. only had raised skin if cat scratched me.

Asthma and Universal Credit
Hi everyone I haven't worked for a few years due to my asthma, I was actually forced out of my last job due to taking time for asthma but that's another story...! I am thinking of going back into work as there seems to be a lot more working from home jobs than a few years ago due to Covid and I think

mesh repair? [Thread contains photographs]
Am wondering if anyone has had this repair for parastomal hernia and outomes? Am considering getting this done. Saw colorectal surgeon- didn’t fill me with enthusiasm due to risk of it recurring. I am beginning to look like I have a fully inflated helium balloon lurking! I wish I had been advised on

Histamine intolerance/sensitivity with Hashi's and thyroid plus fluid retention.
I joined this group because I was having fluid retention and found many people had the same problem using their sleep apnea machine. In the last two weeks I have proved the docs wrong and that yes the machine does cause fluid retention - three of the main reasons are thin veins/capillaries, low albumin

Well, that was a disaster...
Sorry to post twice in one day 😆 I just had my asthma review (phone appointment) since changing from Relvar to Symbicort. I told the nurse that the Symbicort had been working really well but I've had a flare-up in the past week and my asthma's been all over the place since getting a cold. I explained

Food allergies
I, along with IBSD, have food allergies. People may want to look into that too. When I eat soy, peanut butter, dairy I find myself running to the bathroom. FODMAP diet helps a lot. 😉

Asthma post covid
I’ve had covid unfortunately twice in the last 4 months, the first time really affected my asthma for 8 weeks, A short while later I then got covid unfortunately again but with minimal symptoms, 2 weeks later I’m getting problems again. I get sudden onset breathlessness with palpitations and feel faint
