Any link between high T3/ over replacement or under replacement and asthma?
Hello helpful people Has anyone ever noticed they get more wheezy/asthma symptoms when they are over or under replaced with thyroid hormone? I used to think it was a coincidence but my onset of asthma symptoms seems to coincide with the need for a dose adjustment - usually a reduction. I’ve never

CLL and environmental allergies
This morning i woke up with such swollen nodes in my throat and in my chest by airway where the majority of my nodes are , I was actually panicked! But I also don't know if environmental allergies are the cause. I'm better in AC. Does anyone get this bad reaction to environmental allergies and does

Newly discovered allergies and link to asthma
I posted a few weeks ago as I was having a bad flare up of asthma post-covid. I had a asthma attack at home and saw my GP shortly afterwards. Because it happened out of the blue at home and not due to my normal triggers like exercise, smoke, pollutants etc, she decided to do some allergy tests and

Is this meal plan sufficient enough?
I took these foods from the elimination diet food list. I’m pretty sure I have food intolerances at the very least since I have many symptoms and food allergies and celiac disease run in my family. Breakfast- kale, banana, coconut milk, blueberry smoothie Lunch- avocado and black beans Dinner- organic

Food allergy ‘explosion’ poses risk to vegans and vegetarians, say experts
An article with a very concerning warning. I suggest it is well worth a read even if you are not vegan or vegetarian. Of course, having read, you can make your own minds up whether this is a worry - or not. Or needs further research... [i]

Hi, I have had asthma for the past 5 years, i was diagnosed with adult asthma. Always been controlled until last year when I had a hospital trip my meds were changed and all settled. Asthma and essential oils diffuser?
My sister bought me one of these diffusers (think that’s what it’s called) you put essential oil’s in. I wanted to check it was save to use with asthma but I’m finding conflicting advice on the net. Does anyone know anything about this? I’m not sure whether I should go ahead and use it or politely

What does an asthma attack feel like for you?
I’ve had asthma since late 20s, for about 15 years now, Was very mild for first few years and easily managed. Got much worse post pregnancy and particularly in recent years, after viral infections. On fostair now and last time it was bad steroids and fostair didn’t work, but eventually montelukast

I have come off my fostair preventer in January , but I know summer will bring lots of pollen , which tends to be asthma trigger . Anyone have any advice ? Is it just wait and see , see if relieve dies and add preventer if required over the summer ?

Feeling angry - stoma supplies and dignity
Just had a bad phone call and am feeling so angry - I need to vent. I ordered my stoma products as I have done every month for the last 18 months - through their online portal. Their system sends an email to the GP, they authorise, and the products are dispatched and arrive with me, usually not more

Very Bad Timing
I had hoped to update you all on my first month on Xtandi. But that was complicated almost 3 weeks ago, when I was rushed into hospital for emergency surgery on aparastomal hernia causing a blockage. I was given a new stoma, and have spent the last three week recovering. Except...I don't feel like I

Easter break 🥚🐰
Will you be celebrating Easter this Sunday? With family get togethers, indulgent feasts and time spent with friends, Easter weekend is a celebration for many people. However, some people may find that their asthma symptoms get triggered – this could be down to the weather, pollen or different foods

Allergic asthma
I have results back from my bloods and have elevated Ige of 164 but they have done a rast test and identified that I’m positive to cats and dogs, grass and tree pollen (which I already knew as I have terrible hayfever) and house dust mites. I have a pet cat and a dog. I already knew that I am allergic

Hayfever and Pregnancy
My Partner and Myself are trying for a baby and each year I suffer really badly with Hayfever (to the point where I can hardly breath/see) and I would normally just buy hayfever tablets of the shelf. After picking up a few packets and reading the packet most of them are not suitable to take during

Glenmark levothyroxine update
Just wanted to let you all know I finally managed to get hold of Glenmark levothyroxine. There seems to be supply issues and in the end spoke to the CEO of the company who was extremely helpful when I explained my severe allergies to tablets and then my problem with getting the Ten Pharma liquid thyroxine
