Is it really asthma...?
Hi guys, on here just to try and get a bit of advice. I've coped well with Sjoergren's Syndrome since around 2002. Around 8 years ago I started to have pretty bad problems with my lungs, which the Rheumatology clinic casually diagnosed (without any tests, or even eye contact) as Adult Onset Bronchial

Surgery
I have just woken up properly from surgery, I’ve been out since 4pm (I think) on and off. I’m not currently on any painkillers (that I know of) and I feel fine. My surgery was a bit more complex, because of being diabetic they had be come in the day before. Not going to lie, fasting was AWFUL. I am

Anxious about radiotherapy
Hello everyone. I’ve just come back from seeing my oncologist and am feeling flat and anxious. I was thinking that I might need a couple of sessions of radiotherapy after finishing my chemo but have just been told that I’ll have 25 sessions over 5 weeks with 2 further chemo (cisplatin) in weeks 1 and

Hi All My respiratory nurse wanted me to try a salt nebuliser for my bronchiectasis...with a mask, I tried it for a while but was getting a very unpleasant rash on the sides of my face and near my hairline, after a while this altered to blisters in the same area.I tried a mouth piece and still the same

Heatwave, asthma fine - day after asthma attack!
Weird or what? I was waiting for the heat to be an awful trigger for me and it wasn’t. Apart from being hot I felt ok, but the next day… asthma attack out of the blue! I happened to talk to my asthma nurse after the heatwave and told him my asthma was worse after the heat and he said it was the humidity

Incruse Ellipta 55 (umeclidinium bromide)
I have a question about the Incruse Ellipta inhaler. It was written for me for the treatment of asthma, I read the leaflet and it says it is intended for the treatment of COPD. It worried me because I have asthma and not COPD. Have any of you been prescribed this asthma inhaler? Thanks for all the

Symbicort
My asthma started when my mum died: 6 years later I’m on Symbicort twice a day. I blamed my rhinitis on long term steroids ( I have PMR) and productive cough on long term Covid, but as I no longer have any asthma symptoms I dropped the evening Symbicort and am now wondering about stopping it altogether
