Help I have bad knees. Rice, rice baby. Supports, tape and rock n roll. Dodgy knees and beyond.
First of all none of this is to replace proper medical advice. If you have injured your knees/ankles go see your doctor. If you have an old injury and considering taking up running check with your doctor or physio first to make sure it's all good to go. Ok right so you've done that and you have been

Horrible head sweats and tea tree treatment shampoo
I have been reading some of the entries from people suffering from really bad head, neck and face sweats I have suffered for so many years now and keep trying to just get-on-with-it! But I sick of missing out. I miss out on family events because I hate that I'm the one in the corner doing a good impression

Hello everyone! I've just joined the community. I was wondering if anyone else has Thrombophilia? I've recently been diagnosed with it and have been told that it explains my stroke when I was 23, DVT's and Pulmonary embolism. I had my DVT and PE last November and had Clexane for a while and am now

Can a diagnosis of autoimmune hepatitis be made on bloods alone?
Hi. I had a hepatic episode just over a year ago where my liver function bloods were abnormal for approx 6-8 weeks. I was mildly jaundiced and very itchy. I had a significantly positive ANA and was seen by a gastroenterologist who felt certain that I was displaying a typical picture of autoimmune hepatitis

Converting from Warfarin to Rivaroxaban
My GP said stop Warfarin for two days then start the Rivaroxaban. My last INR was 1.7 and from what I have read it seems you should start Rivaroxaban when INR is 2-3. Any thoughts?

I'm taking rivaroxaban. My my urine is dark brown with traces of blood. What does it mean?
I had pulmonary embolism 3 weeks ago. I'm on the first 21 days of rivaroxaban. Two days ago my urine turned dark brown with traces of blood. I take gabapentin (neurontin) for lower back pain (1200 mg/3x a day). Is there any interactions?

I started Warfarin in March and live in New York. I don't love the testing and diet restrictions. What are the generic alternatives?
I am becoming aware of Fragmin through this site. Is Fragmin a generic form of Heparin? Are there any alternatives in generic form that do not require testing and diet restrictions? I have APS and am being tested for Lupus. I had a stroke in March. I am ambulatory, initially lost my speech but have

I am taking .6 ML of MTX a week, .3 on Friday, .3 on Sat. (I mix it in juice, because I can't inject myself)! Has anybody experienced hair

Possible misdiagnosis-3rd time lucky?
OK so I have had 2 doctors tell me I have early stage emphysema, thing is though, I have had symptoms that really don't fit into the early stage picture. This has led me to see a 3rd doctor, a lung specialist. On my initial visit last week he seemed quite confident in telling me I don't have Emphysema

Don't be a drip; treat cuts and scrapes seriously, particularly if you have CLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia)
I recently spent 4 days in hospital so that I could have twice daily intravenous antibiotics to control a hand infection which developed from a very small finger cut. The cut on my middle finger (gained while changing a bathroom tap washer) barely drew any blood, but after a few days my finger started

Update on my first visit with a therapist today
I saw a therapist for the first time this morning to deal with this constant suffocation feeling that has been going on 24/7 for the past 14 weeks now. No relief from it other than if I take Ativan at night to get sleep. Sometimes my head is in the fog with it and sometimes chest tightening. Last
