Horrible head sweats and tea tree treatment shampoo

I have been reading some of the entries from people suffering from really bad head, neck and face sweats

I have suffered for so many years now and keep trying to just get-on-with-it! But I sick of missing out. I miss out on family events because I hate that I'm the one in the corner doing a good impression of a wet rag! I would love to wear the nice clothes, put on make-up and have my hair down not tied up so tight that with the sweat soaking my hair, I look bald!!

Most people think that it is hot flushes, sometimes I say yes because I don't know what it is. How do I get my doctor to test me?

I thought that i would share something for other suffers to try. I use 'Australian body care tea tree treatment shampoo' and it actually did work for quite a while but as the weather is very warm at the moment, it's hard to say if it's still working. There is a small pay-off ... my hair is not really easy to brush after (they do a conditioner but if you don't use it sparingly you lose the effect of the shampoo). But maybe it's worth trying.... See what you think

Hi Dunawori

I am so sorry to read that you are having this problem, and I genuinely hope that you find some resolution and relief to the issue. It is not something that I suffer with myself, but I have great sympathy with anybody who does.

Take care

Ken x

Morning , I've been getting head, neck face sweats,,, for a while now. Doctor took bleed to see if I was going through the change, And I not so I gusts it's part of fibro.. I getting married in July and I hoping I have a none sweats day.. I was never a sweat person .

Hi, I have had tests for menopause but that has been and gone ! Amazingly, I only suffered with very few flushes when I was going thru' the change. I would rather them than this as they went off quite quickly and didn't leave me in soaking wet (apart from nights maybe but I have a fan on constantly very single night of the year!)

I do hope that you have "a none sweat day" and that your look beautiful on your wedding day. Good luck

Ask your doctor to prescribe Clonodine. My doc did so with me and said that they may not work but they did initially 100%and now probably 95% but the difference is fantastic, it's a blood pressure tablet even though I haven't got that problem, I was ready to tux anything. It is a fibro symptom, so many people I speak to with this condition have the sweats, very few don't. Hope this gap helped

No problem x

Hi Dunawori :)

Fantastic tip thankyou for sharing.

I find tea tree products from any reputable beauty care company are good for the scalp as it is good for the skin and also very cooling. I can't explain the science behind it though! :o

I have a moisturiser for hands and body by the company you recommend and it is lovely and also very good.

Sadly I am now only allowed to use the emolient wash and moisturiser given by dematologist now so cannot use it any more. Hubby uses it too sometimes :)

I would speak to your GP about the flushes or sweats as they might be able to give some advice or help, even your pharmaicist could help. :)

Wishing you wellness and hope you get some relief soon sending fluffies and smiles to you

:) xxxsianxxx :)

Thank you. It's a real shame that you are not able to use tea tree shampoo anymore. I will go again to the doctor as it's really starting to get me down (it started in 1998 !! ). They have gone thru' hormone tests, adjusted thyroxine dosage etc etc and have never come up with anything but this time I want answers because I can just see myself slipping further and further into becoming more reclusive than I already am. Thank you so much for the fluffies and smiles, they made my day xx

I mean this in the nicest possible way ..... But I had made me feel so much better to know that I'm not the only one.

I've been in exactly the same situation as you with the sweats. Eventually my doc prescribed me Clonodine, which is a blood pressure tablet, I haven't got blood pressure problems. I take 2 in the morning and 2 at night and initially they worked 100% . I reckon they work 95% of the time now. Initially though I was actually feeling cold with them, a lovely feeling after the hot, wet, sticky sweats. Hope this helps.

Hi Shirldeanne my doctor gave me Clonodine a few years ago. I remember that I was amazed after the first one - the swearing stopped !!!! I carried on taking them for a couple of years but stopped when I thought they no longer had any effect on me because I take so many different pills already. I think I will talk to the doctor again though. Thanks x

I do hope that you feel some benefit. I always try to keep any other products away from my hairline too and use very little soap (only gentle soap at that) Good luck x

People who don't know just can't understand, even now my friends are used to it but they don't seem to know how much I suffer when they suggest going places and I know I will just become uncomfortable and feel so embarrassed. X
