Emuaid first aid ointment
Okay so like when I first was typing in treatments for HS Emuaid popped up and it sounds like an effective product from reading stuff on the website but wanted to know if anyone of here with HS has tried this product and if it has helped you with your symptoms?

Ginger capsules, ginkgo tablets and l- Theanine tablets .
Can anyone tell me if there is a problem in taking any of the above supplements at the start of the day with vitamin supplements. As I'm thinking of adding the above, (over a period of time), to my regime, as an aid to helping my adrenals. Thank you

Well, I did it! :-)
Well, Hidden , I did it, I just ran 8km! And just as it was for you, I found it to be a thoroughly pleasurable experience! In many ways, I enjoyed this more than the 7k! Got out nice and early at 7:15ish am and the sun was out. Thankfully with a nice cool-ish breeze though. It nearly all started with

Hair thinned out on temples and frontal lob
I started to lose hair on my sides after I believed at the time a bad chemical reaction to a perm (I have afro Caribbean hair), I had this happen a while before but my hair grew back. This time however it didn't grow back and so I got worried and went to my doc. I had the test and was diagnosed with

Pleural effusion with Stage 4 NSCLC
My 70 year old mom has Stage 4 NSCLC with mets to spine and lymph nodes. If she has a pleural effusion and had 130 cc’s of fluid removed today, does that necessarily mean it’s a malignant pleural effusion? I know we have to wait for them to test the fluid, but is it possible that there won’t be cancer

Losing muscle strength fast.
I have PA and Hashimotos. In the last year my general strength has reduced noticeably, e.g. I feel as if I could dislocate my fingers easily! Very odd and worrying. I am 64 and active. Any advice please.

Valerian Root
Does anyone here find valerian root helpful during anxious times or panic attacks? I’ve heard it’s a sleep aid but can be calming. Also does anyone know of any other natural products that are calming but aren’t sedating so I can take it before work? I was thinking of kava but a woman I know who owns

Completed Salvage Treatment
Now we wait and see. Last shot of Firmagon went in on Monday (total of 7 treatments) along with 40 IMRT sessions to the prostate bed. Hoping for a lengthy remission, but only time will tell. Overall the side effects were OK, dealing with some proctitis that kicked in at week 7 and is continuing 3 weeks

Update on tapering and wedding dress
First the tapering - it's going well now after going back to 10mg. Gradually went to 8mg without pain etc. 5 days ago started on 7.5mg and have achey muscles in thighs, neck and tops of arms (this is a new one). Going to wait on this dose for a bit longer to see how it goes. Fingers crossed. Last time

Have been on Pred for 6 months for GCA now down to 12mgs .. have noticed bald patches! Also, a mole changed within 4 weeks of being on this med .. saw gp who has referred me as said it looks like a Basel Cell Carcinoma .. Googled this and yes, 9 per cent of us get Mole change within 4 weeks! ..
