Lucentis Treatment/Macular Degeneration/Warfarin
Has anybody had the Lucentis injections/treatment for Degeneration etc. I have had 2 retinal vein occlusions that have left me with Mac.Deg. I keep an INR 3-4, having had the 2nd RVO when my INR was over 3.00. However the eye Clinic are not the least concerned about my INR. Perhaps because most people

Mri scan of liver showing "an abnormality suggestive of HCC."
Hi. What does this mean - likely cancer? If not, what else could it be and what treatment would be used. We got told this today by letter, I don't think that is how you should find out such information. My husband is 60 with NASH liver disease, oesophageal varices and subclinical hepatic encephalopathy

Repeat Prescriptions for Essential Drugs
I am on Disopyramide and Apixaban. Both probably for life or at least a long, long time (hopefully!!!), and both without which I'd be in trouble. Without Apixaban clearly at higher risk of stroke and not something I'd like to interrupt and restart. My GP surgery is reluctant to give repeat prescriptions

Personality change when drinking alcohol
Hubby was diagnosed hep c 20 yrs ago been drinking 90 units alcohol per week. Become very temperamental and aggressive. I am now living away from home. Would mood swings be due to liver disease? He is also very paranoid

End stage liver disease and kidneys failing
It has been a LONG journey with my dad to say the least. He has been an alcoholic for 15 plus years and has survived MANY near death/alcohol related accidents. His last drink was June 1 and his health has declined greatly over the past few months. (It's been declining but this is way worse) It's

Is Hydroxocobalamin im suitable for sub cut?
So I finally got to see my gp following the haematologist appointment last Monday and now have my prescription of Ampoules. They state on the box that they are for Im injection but I would prefer to do sub cut as with everything else going on I am not quite confident that I can relax enough to inject

Wet Macular degenerative disease has begun
I was diagnosed with the dry.form of macular degenerative disease in both eyes at the age of 40. I've eaten right and excercised, taken vitamins for the eyes. Now at 53 Ive started injections of Eylea in both eyes. I'm hoping for the best. God bless us all who suffer from this horrible disease.

Will both eyes be examined after intravenous dye injection?
I have dry AMD in my right eye and wet in my left. Will both eyes be examined when I go for my fluorescein Angiograph next week? I feel that the vision in my right eye is deteriorating too and I am concerned. Also: What is the procedure of my first eye injection in two weeks time. Details please.

Clinical trial - abatacept / mix
Hi I'm new to the forum and recently diagnosed with RA with high CCP antibodies. As yet I haven't been given any medication (other than Naproxen) but have been offered to join a double blind clinical trial that is testing whether abatacept given at early diagnosis before any other DMARDS can achieve

Is it enough to say, "Avoid Proteins"?
Greetings. I'd been wondering how to get the most out of my CD/LD and was curious about which protein-rich foods - chicken or chickpeas? - interfered most with levodopa absorption. It's 3 particular animo acids in protein that are the culprits - branched-chain amino acids (or BCAAs) named leucine

Getting back to steroids
I'm sorry, this might be a long one. I had cataract surgery on my left eye and in the process got some fungal spores in it, so consequently the eye had to come out. Among other things I was given an anti-fungal tablet (Voriconazole) 200mg twice a day. Now the medics said that the steroids were inhibiting
