A New Direction
After seven years of fighting this disease with chemo, radiation,
ADT
, and abiraterone, I suffer from fatigue, nerve damage and paralysis and nerve pain in my left foot from radiation treatment, as well as depression, and a constant feeling of uncertainty.

I've been on an
ADT
/Zytiga vacation for about 18 months. My PSA did become undetectable for a while beforehand though. It's been rising for about 14 months now with an approximate 6 month doubling time. My T has been in the 500+ range for about a year.

3 Years After Stage IV Diagnosis
His issues all have to do with
ADT
, not the cancer itself. When my husband was diagnosed in April, 2020 he started
ADT
(Firmagon) right away. Then he did chemotherapy (Docetaxel) along with an immunotherapy drug as part of a Phase 2 clinical trial.

As most men with PCa are oldER and may be on some form of testosterone-blocking treatment, like
ADT
, odds are they are also struggling with the muscle-wasting and weight issues that comes with both oldER age and loss of T.

The Use of Low Dose Estradiol to Ameliorate the Effects of ADT on Bone Mass Density
It should be noted that abiraterone + prednisone, as a second line therapy, was initiated in August 2020, ~58 months after

Minor incontinence
Although slower due to the
ADT
I still exercise regularly and am fairly active. Has anyone had a urethral sling procedure and if so, did it work? Are there any other options that are successful? Thank you.

So the beast has returned - In summary, after a 2 year
ADT
vaca, my PSA started to climb so i was tracking it monthly. I also got to Mayo and they did a PSMA/CAT in october (PSA=0.2)- that they "said" was clean.

I've been on
ADT
+ Zytiga + Prednisone for 46 month's. In that time I've developed osteopenia, and have suffered an "Osteoporotic" compression fracture to the t11 vertebra, even though I've been receiving XGEVA, and taking Calcium Citrate, D3, and Multi vitamins as directed.

My PSA tripled in 8 months
I had my RP in Jan 31, 2023, started hormonal therapy from April 17 with Diphereline every 28 days plus one Casodex daily. My PSA went down to 0.005 from May to November. Yesterday I had my blood test again and the report indicated my PSA has jumped to 0.159. I am panic. Can you explain what does

Seeking advice on course of action after Decipher Report
I initially thought 7% sounded pretty good, but my RO said no, it's not, and he recommends getting going with salvage rad and
ADT
very soon. My PSA is 0.12 and my doubling time appears to be ~5 months.

Importantly, BAT should always be given in conjunction with ongoing
ADT
.
BAT is not to be used in patients with castration-sensitive disease outside of a clinical trial.
